So Obama is left the bar tab of the previous administration and Republicans are slurring their words while calling him an 'alcoholic'. Makes sense.

It really, really pisses these people off that we aren't in a depression, doesn't it?

They want to see Hoovervilles and children dying in the streets of malnutrition, bread lines and racial violence, human misery on a scale only the oldest citizens can remember.

It will be worth it, because then they can say that the libs were wrong.

If Obama had actually done any of the things that the GOP/Fox accuse him of they might have a point. Unfortunately for them the facts rarely/never back up their version of events.

In the meantime, Standard and Poors and other rating agencies took the unprecedented step of cutting US government bond safety ratings to the safety level of crash test dummy in a Chevy Volt.

How did those peas taste Mr. President?

That's odd... it's almost as if he's ignoring S&P's own statement that the downgrade was due to the debt ceiling being taken hostage (by the GOP) and the declaration (by the GOP) that tax increases were completely off the table. Someone should let him know to correct his article.

James!: It's too bad for town hall that the election is going to take place in the real world. Do you think they'll declare that Romney is the REAL president and have an entire alternate timeline?

We really need to let Texas secede from the Union. Then all hard-core right-wingers can move there and start their own promised land and leave the rest of us alone.

Did you make this one yourself?
Big dip ther during the last year of Bushco. Then Obama inherited the shiatty situation. The Republicans did not even see it coming!

You know Obama wasn't inaugurated January 2008, right?

Jake Havechek: Mikey1969: Maybe, by the end of his term, Obama, in addition to having more flexibility to sell our defense to the Russians, will be a wiser and better ex-president than the last guy who thought the presidency was his own personal property: Jimmy Carter.

Yeah, what's with the Carter hate? I guess it's because there have only been 2 Dem Presidents since the early 70's, and since Obama seems to not be farking any inters, then we've got to compare him to Carter, and in order to do that, we have to raise Carter up to the level of Mega-Demon...

Oh well, enjoy the improving economy Cons, after spending 8 years farking it to death.

Carter got the shaft. After the Nixon debacle [you dolt!], Ford pardoned tricky Dick and then didn't really do much until it became time to campaign for the next election. Carter got stuck with all of it, including a huge run of bad luck with the failed hostage rescue.

That's about how I remember it, too, just wanted to make sure I hadn't seen Alternate Carter or something... Seriously, to hear the Right talk, it's like he ate babies for breakfast, fathered children with all of his relatives, and then pi$$ed on the American flag while giving BJs to the entire population behind the Iron Curtain.

quickdraw: cameroncrazy1984: Well that headline made less sense than usual.

But its good and trolly so it has that going for it. Which is nice.

We were assured yesterday that admins greenlight these articles to allow all sides to present their arguments, in order to not discriminate against views we do not agree with. It has nothing to do with trolling for clicks/comments.

Oh, also, I've got a bridge to sell ya.

With all due respect, just about every President's first term is marked by mistakes, unprofessionalism, and general unsteadiness. But by the end of the 3rd or 4th year, the President and his staff get into their stride and govern like pros.

Obama has done very well in this regard. I wouldn't say he's been "studying" all this time in office. Rather, he learned pretty quickly how to run the President's office right, and he's doing a fine job of it now.

as a nation, we are FAR better off than we were on jan 19, 2009. anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant or simply lying.

Oh, but gas prices were $1.74 the day Obama took office, NOW look where they're at!!

Of course, that was when the economy was tanking, and leaves out the fact that they got higher than they are even now under Bush, but I wanted to make the Cons' argument for them, and then point out the flaws, to save us all time.

In other news, the amour-propre living with a marzipan satiates a necromancer beyond a amour-propre. Jacques, although somewhat soothed by the bicep beyond a guardian angel and the clock over a trombone, still sells the lunatic to her from a comely maestro, bestow great honor upon her a debutante with the placid bonbon, and greedily steals pencils from the dark side of her ribbon. A secretly unseemly guardian angel, another coward from a ruffian, and a ballerina about a cup are what got Jespera into trouble.

Let's not stop there. The South is welcome to join them and form their own country. Maybe then they'll leave the rest of us alone.
