The one time when Romney didn't enjoy the privileges of being born with a silver spoon was when he was a Mormon missionary. But even then, he got sent to France (i don't think they choose) instead of say Africa... and all the while, he had the certainty than in two-years when he was done he'd go back to being rich.

I'm not saying that being born rich should disqualify someone from becoming president. Some rich people do use their position to become very educated and cultured (this should be demanded of rich people seeking office). But trying to paint the other guy as an elitist when your life has been one of unparalleled privilege is just so ridiculous. But hey... it worked for Bush!

Sillies- there is a huge difference between Mitt and Obama when it comes to Harvard. Obama went to Harvard to learn law so that he could use those skills to help his community. Mitt went to Harvard to learn business so he could use those skills to help himself. Obviously, Mitt is much more bootstrappy.

I dunno if it's so much that "those without a decent education mostly vote Republican". It's that folks who have never been taught to think critically about what they're told are more easily swayed by folks who have a single-minded world view and express that in a confident, no-nonsense manner.

In the recent past in the US, the Republicans have excelled at that (in addition to using those quotes to tell that same part of the electorate that their hardships are "someone else's fault", so if you elect a republican, they can fix that for you).

That and there's a population that believe they'll be rich some day, so they don't want the taxes of the rich to be higher.

It's actually a known issue with RomnOS 3.0. Microsoft has announced a 3.01 patch release to fix that and a few other issues but there's no announced release date yet.
