Something tells me Gary will be fine. The media would be having a field day if he'd been seriously hurt.

/Please tell me I'm not the only one wondering what kind of bass he's playing in that file photo

I had no idea the Lt. Dan Band existed... that's awesome.

That's 'magic legs' and I know this because I just watched it yesterday.

No joke, used to work as a waiter in the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in Times Square, One day, while CSI New York was filming a scene in Times Square (I think they discover a corpse on the 2nd floor of the double decker tour bus), Gary Sinese and Melisa Kanakanderes (sp?) actually came into the restaurant, and Sinese even autographed one of the Lt. Dan button up Hawaiian shirts we had there. Very nice, genuine guy.

Too bad Baba O'Riley is the theme song for CSI: New York.

He often showed up at Balboa Hospital (Naval Medical Center San Diego) to visit with injured military. It was always down in a low key, no press, no attention manner. Class guy, wishing him a speedy recovery.

The line is "You got new legs... NEW LEGS!"

The conversation continues as Lt. Dan explains that they're custom made titanium alloy, like they used on the space shuttle, to which Forrest proclaims, "Magic legs."

I know this because I have sadly memorized the entire film, verbatim.

Yeah, every time I listen to that song all I end up thinking of is CSI. And.... I don't think that's what they would have wanted.

Luckily that got my mind off of thinking of the American Beauty trailer

/Leave Baba O'Riley ALONE!

When I found this out about 4 years ago, it made me more in love with him. Would be cool to have a beer with the guy, after he's recovered of course.

That's an Ibanez Soundgear. You'd think he'd have something a little nicer than a middle-of-the-road $500 bass.

I was looking for an omgomgomg Wheelchair picture of him, but I stumbled on another Bass picture instead. Never knew he was a musician. Hope he recovers quick.

Damn, that sucks. Decent character actor who made Reindeer Games better and otherwise craptastic Snake Eyes tolerable.

My company hired the Lt. Dan Band in 2008 to play a party we hosted in Vegas. The band was awesome, Gary was extremely gracious and a very talented musician.

I was shocked to see he is 57 years old, but then I remembered that Forrest Gump was released 18 years ago. I feel old.

/speedy recovery, Gary!

He can take his time recovering since the show has been cancelled.

//Like the guy........seems nice, uses a lot of his free time to assist/fundraise/whatever for servicemembers and veterans, only thing that made The Stand watchable
