That was beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Coulter is a complete biatch, but she has a brain - evil and twisted as it may be.
Malkin is a vapid idiot that couldn't find a clue if it was glued to her ass.

My money is on Coulter.

This is one instance in which I think don't ask don't tell is the proper course of action. We should not refer to Ann as a 'she' but instead stick with the gender non-specific 'it' - we should respect it's privacy.

Slaves2Darkness: EWreckedSean: The saying from Dragonlance finally proving true (to obscure?)

Probably, but in my case too old. The only thing I remember from the DL books is that fandom jizzed all about them and they were fantasy written on the level of the first couple of Harry Potter books.

It did launch the career of those hacks Weis and Hickman though.

From what I've heard Tracy Hickman is an ass, but did the bulk of the good writing throughout the series. Margaret Weis is the hack. "You know what the Dragonlance series really needs? Another Mary Sue. Laurana just wasn't enough. Oh, and moody vampires! Everyone likes moody vampires!"

Anyway, the problem with both of these biatches is that they've obviously got no sense of Huma!

Legend of Huma was written by a different author. :) I cut my fantasy-reading teeth on the dragonlance stuff back when i was in 5th grade. it was great reading for a 5th grader, but i outgrew it by the time i was in 7th grade. In the meantime, though, I think i read probably 50 of those books.

Malkin is an ardent Santourm supporter.

Santorum supporters are messiah-in-a-sweater-vest worshiping buffoons.

Therefore, Malkin is a messiah-in-a-sweater-vest worshiping buffoon.

This has more to do with Malkin hating Romney supporters (and anyone who isn't supporting Santorum), than any statement about a VP pick.

FTFA:And despite harsh and public criticism of Palin's running mate, Sen. John McCain, even going so far as to say she would vote for Hillary Clinton over him in 2008, Coulter proclaimed the former Alaska governor the Human Events "conservative of the year" that year. Coulter also wrote the laudatory blurb three years ago for Time magazine when it named Palin to its Time 100 list.

So could it be that coulter actually...learned something? That she...grew from personal experiences and observation? That she saw that she was wrong and...changed her mind?

I could see how conservatives would be smitten with caribou barbie in 2008, but to defend her today is simply idiotic. How can anyone not see her for what she is?

I quite enjoy the universe itself; you just have to know which books to read and which to avoid like the plague. I've found that the ones centering on the kender, the minotaurs, or the Solamnics tend to be really solid. Anything featuring Tanis, Laurana, or the Super Majere Bros. is just going to be a maelstrom of fanwankery.

They did much better outside of Dragonlance. Death Gate Cycle and Star of Guardian series come to mind.

Petit_Merdeux: dnrtfa, but I will guess that Coulter is anti-Palin.

I think she senses the decline in the republican poutrage industry and is looking to branch out.

Define "decline": in the last few months she's written several times about how Fox News needs to get out of this cozy farm system they've set up where potential conservative politicians get a steady pay check and free airtime in between failed election attempts that blur the line between politician and political commentator, especially since the comments that win ratings are not the ones you want to make to won over voters. She's publicly begged Fox to come out and state that no also-ran this year or expected 2016 candidate will be hired until they declare they are not going to run.

Optimistic view: she sees that the leeway to be bombastic as a commentator allows people on the fringe to rally the base but recognizes strategically that there is a need to have politicians who are more reserved with their comments.
Cynical view: she thinks the market for "liberals are evil and stupid" books has a surplus supply and this stance is basically an attempt at rent-seeking.

I went to elementary school in this really backwoodsy, rednecky area of Ohio, where inbreeding ran rampant. As a result, there were a lot of retarded kids at my school. One day, in the lunchroom, I witnessed two of these imbeciles talking about a couple of other tards. They were arguing about which was most retarded. "Dwayn is weetahdeder." "No, Jaymes is weetahdeder." Back and forth the argument went. It was horrifyingly fascinating to watch.

Anyway, I didn't read the article (which probably also makes me a retard), but I'd have to imagine that watching those two stupid koonts argue about who is the dumbest republican is a lot like what I observed in that lunchroom.

Ann Coulter is a relatively smart, funny person who realized years ago that she could make millions pandering to knucklebreathers. I never for a minute believed her act was real.

Michelle Malkin is a clinically insane bigot who hates her fellow citizens and is the kind of person who probably secretly wishes for a terrorist attack because it would make Obama look bad.

No. Somehow, they both have to be wrong. Nothing else makes sense.

I reconcile it this way: Malkin is just spewing derp. Coulter is saying something that might actually help keep the 'publickins in power. That's much worse.

The thought of this harpy-on-harpy action is making my little solider retreat up my inguinal canal, BTW.
