Even accusations without him saying or doing anything at all would probably be enough to ruin his life.

But still, the lack of gray matter that's needed to do that IN WRITING makes my head spin. I guess it isn't just Kentucky that hires their stupidest as teachers.

My youngest brother and sister are currently seniors there (both top five of their class). My brother was assaulted by a fellow player during football practice when the coach decided he didn't want to show up. End result - the coach got fired, and my brother still has lasting effects five years after the accident (freshman football started with the 8th graders). He can't play any contact sports because the concussion was so severe that any more hits to the head could result in his death.

My sister is the school's representative to the school board. She'll go to every school board meeting, and basically promote the school, touting all the good. Apparently, they'd been havig issues with moron students and cheesesteak fights (new window), and the school did nothing about it - so she reported it. Two assistant principals (McNulty and Makhoul) called her into a meeting the day after the school board meeting, as well as the superintendent's assistant (Wildonger), basically asking why she would DARE to speak of such things, especially when seated next to a Morning Call reporter. "Public perception is something you must consider" and when she pointed out that school safety was being ignored, they still pounded "public perception" into her. They also said she will meet with both the principal AND an assistant principal prior to her next school board meeting so that they can approve her speech. When she started to get upset because she was being reprimanded by three males for something that she didn't do wrong, she started to cry - at which point, Makhoul told her she needed to see a counselor. Not a guidance counselor - a psych counselor.

The principal, Bocian, also called her down on Monday to give her the same speech about "public perception" - emails fired off to the school board who was very sympathetic towards my sister led to a meeting that same week with Wildonger, Bocian, both of my parents (Dad's a security guard at that very school), and my sister. Bocian and Wildonger also tried to push the whole "public perception" thing onto my parents - and didn't get very far. In the end, my siblings are not to have any meetings without any parents present, and all adults were told to apologize - two of them have so far.

Since then, the athletic director was busted for buying crack from an undercover agent (new window) and this incident has come to light.

Yep. "Public perception" only applies when seventeen year old girls talk negatively about their school at school board meetings.

I hope to GOD that Bocian, Makhoul, Mcnulty, and Wildonger are shiatting their pants right now.
