This November, Adam Sandler shiats in your eyes, ears, and mouth! Whatever. You'll pay to go see it. F*ck you!

The first film brought in $162 domestically and added another $271 million worldwide, making it a bonafide hit for Columbia Pictures.

You're not helping, rest of world...

*checks Box Office Mojo*....

Okay, they got it wrong.

Domestic: $162,001,186 59.7%
+ Foreign: $109,429,003 40.3%
= Worldwide: $271,430,189

Still depressing.

And, ah, David Spade. What is there to say? A poor man's Dana Carvey (who himself is a poor man's Martin Short).

I don't really give a damn. Hollywood can crank out as much of this shiat as they want, not like it'll ever see a penny of my money.

Damn you. I almost blocked out the memory of that third-trimester partial-birth abortion of a movie.

Since I managed to miss the first one so far I'm fairly certain I can succesfully avoid the sequel.

I didn't even remember the name of the first one.. I'm sure I can miss any sequel, with Mr. Small Face.

Adam Sandler has mastered the art of making piles of money.

Now if only he could learn something about story telling.

Y'know, Happy Gilmore and some of his other earlier works were absolutely hilarious. What the hell happened? Corrupted by the money? A major head injury? A brain slug from the planet Insipidus IV?

Additional: I know that most comedians start sucking after a while, but even Eddie Murphy hasn't slipped as far as Sandler has.

Yeah, and what's really astonishing is that apparently Mike meant it all as a loving tribute to all that Eastern philosophy shiat. Apparently he takes Deepak Chopra and all that stuff very seriously. Read about it here if you care to. (new window) It's like learning that deep down, Will Ferrell has a reverence for San Diego TV newscasters and that's what inspired Anchorman. It makes about as much sense.

By the way, subby, "nadir" is a word that isn't used quite as frequently as it ought. Nor is "zenith". Great use of the word.

Whatever happened, we can still ignore his newer, crappy stuff and just remember when he was actually funny.

Next Sandler film: "Why Don't You Just Give me $20 million And I Won't Make This Movie" ...soon followed by a sequel.

I'm surprised he hasn't begun filming some of the movies his character in Funny People starred in.

Sandler's job isn't to make you laugh, it is to make money. He is doing a much better job of it than Eddie Murphy.

Then he would be crap at his job. But, since it has four movies made a total of $804 million world wide he is doing a pretty good job.

Lol. The author thinks Daniel Radcliff was defined by Harry Potter? Obviously they aren't paying any attention to the massive breadth of roles he's played since then.

Meh, Grown Ups was not that bad. Sandler is much better when he tries to make family movies as opposed to R rated comedies.

Or maybe I'm getting old...

Grown Ups wasn't that bad. Sandler has made some decent moves. (not Jack and Jill)

I too echo the grown ups wasn't horrible crowd. Then again, it came on HBO and I was too lazy to push button to change channel and watched it. Enough random eye candy and a few decent jokes enough to keep me from changing the chanel on a rainy saturday.

I find it hilarious and also disturbing that Will Ferrell was making fun of my hometown. That being said, San Diego is still way, way better than Los Angeles, so I sleep soundly at night. The best part of the movie is every time Ron Burgundy says, "God, I love this city!' Because we San Diegans actually say that all the damn time, often enough that we annoy ourselves.

Sandler and his minions are good at convincing studios to finance their vacations.

I couldn't stand Adam Sandler on SNL; he was one of the worst ever to play on SNL. I've tried to watch one of his movies and found it so unfunny I changed the channel. Don't remember what movie it was only that he's simply too annoying for me to watch.
