The boy was arrested and has been given a final warning by police, meaning the incident will remain on his record for the next six years.

Yeah, he's gonna hate that.

"It is very sad that our young people are exposed to such pornography, but it is one of the evils of modern technology.

They'd never manage to figure out sex if only that damn pornography were removed from the internet!

He added: "I know that in St Peter's there are many young men and women who do not want to see such behaviour and I applaud them for maintaining their self-respect."

Yeah, and all the normal people who wanted to see it, did. What's the farking problem here?

I'm sure the video was made with one of his teachers. Right?

Does a 14 year old boy even know what video tape is?

I like how they go in-depth into the opinions of the headteacher, and then reveal that the kids weren't from his school and he is of little relevance to this story.

Isn't part of the Facebook EULA or whatever the statement that they own any pictures or videos posted on their site? Can they now be arrested for possession of child porn?

"Evils" they are not, sir. There is no evil of technology, merely science and research. Porn is a form of research.

Children aren't "exposed" to pornography. They seek it out like it's the Lost Ark. The difference being that I had to find the map room and the headpiece to the Staff of Ra to discover my first Playboy, these little assholes have the sum collection of human depravity at a key stroke, no pun intended.

Parents are now being warned about the clip, which police say was posted on a Facebook page and has potentially been seen by thousands of children across the county.

Are the thousands of kids gonna be arrested, sent to jail for 10 years, and put on the sex registry for life for viewing child pornography? No, didn't think so. If an adult viewed it however.....

In other news....

Yeah, I am a little bitter about that.

Sexualization was much more gradual in the 70/80s. National Geographics were always around, as was the Sears catalog. Finding dad's stash of Playboys was a goldmine. Actually getting one and trying to hide them somewhere your mom wouldn't discover in your room was a challenge (that I failed at). Hell, I had actual sex before seeing any real pornography. Today, the depth of human depravity and sleaze are so readily accessed I am astounded kids aren't even more warped.

You cannot control and regulate human sexuality. Just don't go there in the first place.

I, for one, will take a seat and sell popcorn for the event.

I couldn't agree with these statements more. Hell, I sifted through a pile of burnt Penthouses and Playboys in the neighbors back yard once and took home the charred fragments; a boobie here, an unshaven muff there. I was in heaven.

I'm guessing it's because only one of them actually distributed the video. However, the article doesn't explicitly state that.

This happened in England, so he boy was warned not do it again, and after six years the incident will be expunged from his record.

As opposed to America, where he would have been charged as an adult for the production and distribution of child pornography, and sentenced to thirty years in prison. And even though he might get out in ten with good behavior, he will be placed on the sex offender registry for life, and thus will never be able to get a job, or live anywhere but under a bridge or in the forest with the rest of the offenders.

Unfortunately not far from the truth.

See: the later years of the Roman Empire and Europe during the Black Plague.

Depravity and sleaze have been readily accessible long before Hustler magazine and amateur porn vids.

This.

It's a sad state of things in the US. I don't know how the public Sex Offender Registry is not considered "cruel & unusual punishment"?

Also this.

Our time is not nearly as depraved as people make it out to be.

BurnShrike: Yeah, and all the normal people who wanted to see it, did. What's the farking problem here?

You use that world normal. I don't think that describes someone wanting to watch a 14 year old boy having sex. But, whatever descriptor you want to use to describe yourself, I suppose.

There's a huge difference in a 14 year old watching pornography, which I'd find normal, and being completely ok with a 14 year-old making pornography with another 14 year old, at which point I'd want to smack you in the face with a baseball bat.

madgonad: Actually getting one and trying to hide them somewhere your mom wouldn't discover in your room was a challenge (that I failed at).

I think this is why I learned to be a slob. Seriously, I learned early on that having a clean room or a clean car was almost an invitation for other people to go inside and get in your business and look for or find or take the stuff you didn't want them to get into.

On the other hand, a horrendously messy room or car had an infinitely abundant number of hiding places that were chaotic and that nobody else really wanted to delve into, looking to see if there's anything in all that mess that they want to have or that they want you to not have. Mess is protective camouflage for your privacy and your stuff.

I could always hide stuff from my mom in my room, because I resisted all of her and my dad's efforts to get me to clean it up or keep it clean. I generally hid stuff in mess that wasn't gross enough for Mom to feel the immediate need to clean it up for me and then ground me, but was unaesthetic enough that you wouldn't want to approach it too closely.

Like the thing I wanted to hide would be under a pile of messy books and papers that looked like they'd been there forever, halfway under a pile of dirty laundry and a dish or two---where the laundry and dish or two were the "decoy" mess that it would be very easy for Mom to pick up, leave, and never come back from.

I meant normal students, not adults who watched it later. Any student of any high school would immediately leap on the chance to watch someone they're in school with, if for nothing more than the lulz.

Ugh, no way. There's enough fumbling around, awkward glances, uncomfortable touching, and disappointment in my real sex life. I try to find something a little more glamorous when I watch porn.

A 14 year-old's sex tape. Why all this fuss over a 9 second video?

Does anyone think that the deed lasted any longer than that?

Agreed. In the late 1970's, my friends and I had a communal stash hidden in the woods in an old metal potato chip can. I actually went to eBay a couple years ago and bought one of those issues of Penthouse (mint condition, plastic sleeve, $8) and was amazed that I could still remember every cartoon, pictorial & letter to the editor all these years later.

Back then, we treated porn the same way kids during WWII treated chocolate bars: as a rare and wonderful thing, to be wholly devoured whenever possible.

Rule #1 - When the Woman is right, she is right.
Rule #2 - When the Man is right, she is still right.
Rule #3 - When there is any doubt about who is right, she is ALWAYS right.

You don't have to be married as long as I have (20+years) to know these rules to be painfully true.

The wonderful treasure troves known as Woods Porn. Pornographic materials that you find stashed in the woods somewhere. You look at it but never take it with you, so that you may share the bounty with other intrepid young discoverers.

I discovered Woods Porn when I was but an elementary schoolboy. I still remember the Penthouse, pages torn and crinkled, but her labial beauty staring me in the face, screaming "LOOK AT MY farkING KIDNEYS. LOOK"

"Sex tape" is a stupid, outdated phrase.

"Sex video" is perfectly acceptable, and makes sense in this digital age.

Why people keep saying "sex tape" is beyond me.
