Silly Jesus: ghare: Every time the police have told me to do (or not do) something and I have disobeyed them, I was in Big Trouble.

But in Sanford, if the cops tell you not to get out of your car and follow someone, but you do anyway and then shoot that someone, no problem!

/Place sucks.

The cops didn't tell him to not get out of his car.
The cops didn't tell him to not follow someone.
A dispatcher, who is not a cop and has no legal standing to tell you what to do, stated that WE DON'T NEED YOU TO DO THAT.
He was following him so that he could tell the police where he was, the dispatcher simply was saying that that wasn't necessary...

How this gets turned into "THE POLICE ORDERED HIM TO STOP WHAT HE WAS DOING" is an excellent example of the derp that takes over these kinds of sensational stories.

Shhhhh, All this logic gets in the way of the truth.
Zimmerman saw an African American youth walking through his neighborhood, and in a fit of racism, ran him down and murdered him in cold blood while the poor innocent boy was on the ground screaming for help. While we don't have any proof, or evidence, I believe at the time of the shooting, and while Martin was on his knees begging for his life, Zimmerman leered menacingly and said "One pull of the trigger for another dead N*gger" BOOM.

Zimmerman's version is clearly all lies.

rynthetyn: Pete_T_Mann: rynthetyn: So many white people in this country world still have such major issues with race, but they've convinced themselves that because they're not wearing hoods when they spew hate speech they're not racist.

Hate to tell you, every race is racist. Asian, white, arab, hispanic and even the poor put upon black people. White Americans arent some unique and unprecedented bastion of racism, no matter how much white guilt is peddled on TV, or how sensationalized the rare white on black crime is. A good example, blacks and hispanics arent very fond of each other. Your hispanic friend demonstrates this well.

White people have the unique position of believing that they're only racist if they're wearing a hood while spewing their racism. Heck, even hood wearing can still get you excused, my aunt is convinced that the KKK Grand Dragon turned Lake Wales, FL city councilman isn't racist because he's also my uncle's barber and seems like a nice enough guy to her.

Kinda like how black people believe that they're exempt from racism because some people that 99% of the Caucasian community is not related to nor ever met did some bad things 200 years ago. The Irish, Italians, Germans polish, and so many others are white and have been discriminated against in this country but we arent crying everyday.

disgustip8ed: HBK: That's what you get with a 24/7 news cycle. Sensationalism and creating news.

/this wouldn't be a story if Zimmerman were black or if Martin were Hispanic.

This

right, because Zimmerman would just be in jail if he were black.

I don't think Martin was shot because he was black, but i do know if Martin would have stood his ground first, we would have never heard this story. The "neighborhood watch guy" was just murdered by a black thug. It MIGHT have made local news, and even though it would have been perfectly legal since obviously his life was in danger, he would have just been thrown in jail without even thinking.

THAT is the racism in it. not that Zimmerman wasn't prosecuted or that Trevon was shot because he was black. it is the fact that even if Martin had a gun and defended himself, he would just be in jail and everyone would be ok with it.

The police weren't doing shiat to begin with on this case, so why not let the amateur criminologists in local news take a stab at it?
