Todd Park Mohr, someone who should be a whole lot bigger than he is.

/although it does mean when he comes to town it is usually in a real small club & there are no more than a couple hundred people there
//great find subby

I dig it.

2012-04-03 03:48:35 PM
The first time heard the original was this weekend when my sister played the video for me to watch, she seemed shocked that I had never heard it. She then played, I think it's called "Red Solo Cup" and was equally shocked. She indignantly asked "What kind of music DO you listen to"?

That being said I like this arrangement.

2012-04-03 04:43:42 PM

Is there anything more annoying than masturbatory blues music?

Best American band touring today. I love BHTM. It's no surprise that this is frigging amazing.

How eerie. Just last night I was introduced to the Metal cover of this song.

I'd link to it but I'm at work. Also means I can't watch this video until I get home. Sadface.

I saw him at the Lincoln Theater in Raleigh about 8 yeras ago or so. Great show, probably one of my top ten.

I like LMFAO too but saying they transcend boundaries is a little much ;-)

Was first introduced to Big Head Todd my senior year in H.S. He did a John Lee Hooker song. Got to go to a concert in Reno with Big Head Todd, Johnny Lang and Buddy Guy. Didn't realize my sister and I had been in the elevator like 50 times with Todd until he walked on stage. He smelled good.
/Css?

I can think of one thing /\

Skr: I dig the steel guitar.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a dobro?

It is a dobro. Steel guitar usually refers to pedal steel guitars.

Got to see a lot of these guys when I lived in Golden. They were big enough to draw a crowd, but small enough to still appreciate it.

I don't think that's changed.

This guy's got more talent than ten 'Top 10' 'Artists' stacked together.

Ok that was good

Hosted on the 88.9 site. Woot. Love that station (aside from their constant non-profit commercials that last like 5 minutes telling me about some program that I can't understand because the speaker can barely master the English language).

2012-04-03 08:41:15 PM
So not being familiar with LMFAO, I just have to ask: What's with the cardboard box head dude? Is that an all the time thing, like Buckethead?

2012-04-03 08:51:10 PM
He head not so big?

2012-04-03 09:04:10 PM
Or maybe more properly than a dobro- a resonator guitar. I didn't actually see the brand.

2012-04-03 09:30:09 PM
Best cover of anything ever.

DNWTFA, but it seems like something fans of "Lady Gaga", that rat-faced country chick who is somehow really popular, and the fatty who sounds like Amy Winehouse would like.

2012-04-03 10:15:58 PM
Great cover, I like it a lot, but seeing Duran Duran cover Public Enemy has quite literally broken my brain. Wrap it up and turn out the lights folks, I think we found the end of the Internet right there.

suburbanguy: No Phish yet?

Fewer things are lower than Phish.
A rapper with Phish.
A fish wrapper.
A condom for a bottom feeding snot blogger from the oceans deep.
A junkie millionaire with a vintage guitar that sells CD's and can't sing his way out of an unlocked stall in a public port-a-john.

That was lower than the sand worms that eat whale shait.

Phish sucks like a Dyson that the Tim Allen guy put a hemi in then tossed it to Red Green to enhance the power.

Nothing smells worse than a junkie sitting next to you at a wake for a dead friend who died in a car crash and is scratching his arms because of INVISIBLE SPIDERS.
