I have some neurological issues that cause shaking that, at times, can be maddening. Eating and drinking are the only times I'm ever really self-conscious about it, though. Mine is mostly in my hands, but my head sometimes will shake as well when eating/drinking; I think my body is trying to synchronize. My hands intermittently shake as well and it also only really bothers me when I drive or drink something from a glass. My parents took me to tons of specialists when it started (I was 11 I think) and the last neurologist just shrugged his shoulders and said "he was born with a defect in his central nervous system". Gee, thanks Doc.
