"They turned me into the April Fool this morning!" Romney laughed, admitting he had forgotten about the holiday. "This is known as forgive, but remember. I tell ya, we're going to remember this."

"Ha. Ha. That was a very humorous situation which you huma...people placed me in. It met all of the qualities and characteristics of something "clever". This was a very funny First Day of April occurence, and I am amused to a significant degree by it. It could only have been funnier if it had included a number of workers losing their jobs. Ha!"

Triumph: Hey, let's throw away campaign money on an April Fool's day prank! Nothing better to spend it on.

Oh settle down. I'm no Romney supporter, but having a little fun isn't really a political issue. I thought it was funny.

And by that he means he fired every single one of them after the cameras were turned off.

Ha! Found the link. Romney being interviewed on CBC this morning by Micheal Enright (Whom Mitt mistakenly calls "Wainwright" throughout). Starts as a regular interview but towards the end Enright starts asking about Seamus, the family dog that rode atop the Romney family car on a trip to Ontario pissing Romney off noticeably. Interview starts at the 8 minute mark. By the 11:57 mark Romney is questioning the show's bone fidos (so to speak) and insisting that "Canadians don't care about the dog". At the 12:20 mark Romney is so choked at the dog talk he tries to deflect and insists angrily "The main thing is to have an administration that creates dogs". Then he corrects himself twice. Then Enright (still being called "Wainright") asks one last question...'If you become POTUS will you get a dog like all the other Presidents?' And Romney loses it.

Lulzy.

"They told me your show went across Canada".

^__^

CBC audio Link (new window)

Great closing line, Mittens...

"I love Canada. They've got tons of trees up there. I've seen so many trees I like in Canada"

Not an April Fools joke. Wotta putz!

/Someone was asking for the link earlier.
//Thought he said "create lots of dog". Misheard.

Gingrich supporters can speak?!

I thought they communicated with a series of unintelligible grunts and bible movements while on their hoverrounds.

Stile4aly: Amusing practical joke, but the fact that Mitt fell for it is telling about the state of enthusiasm for his campaign.

Actually, no, no it doesn't.

That. I'm repulsed by the idea of him being prez as much as anyone, but it was a pretty great prank.

TFA says video exists. Anyone know where it is?
