Dumb-Ass-Monkey: I got the Juan Montoys #42 Transformer last night. ($8.99 at target, on clearance if you want one) and goddamn, it is unnecessarily complicated. I like it, but considering I've been playing with Transformers for almost 30 years, it shouldn't have taken nearly as much effort to transform.

I should go pick two of those up. One for the "collectors" value, and the other to simulate hitting a jet dryer, or me setting it aflame.

I never did get any of those growing up.

I got my phone to work for just a second. Next race, I will be back in the thread. My work shift is being eliminated, so my Sundays will be free. The downside is extra gas usage (work three days now, going to five) and it felt nice to have weekdays off, which comes in handy when the wife and/or kids have appointments. Of course worst case scenario is I lose my job, but wouldn't be such a bad thing since I could be recalled. As far as the race, sounds boring even for Martinsville. But I could tell TKat was feeling better since Kyle caused a caution, and they caught the #48 cheating as a result.

Go Fast Turn Left: Not sure if it shows up on TV, but the crowd here is really good. In talking to the PR folks here, they had said they were at about 90% going into today, but there was a huge line at the ticket booth this morning, I'd say we're just under 95% full here.

sweet! If there's one thing that bums me out, it's a Cup race with a noticeably small crowd.

4 lead changes among 3 drivers (Gordon twice for 102 laps, Harvick once for 22 laps, Keselowski once for 1 lap). One caution for 6 laps:

1) 6 laps, #18 accident in Turn 3.

A buddy of mine gave me an Optimus Prime a few years back. Like yourself, I spent most of my childhood with Transformers. To this day, I have never gotten it fully transformed.

I blame Michael Bay. The Transformers in his movies were so needlessly busy that the toy makers had to go crazy trying to replicate the look.
