Why not riot? If you live in shiat; you really can't make it any worse.

Unreliable witnesses are like sub-prime mortgages. If you have enough of them, the risk level goes to zero.

It was a party in Lawrence, KS and we are planning another on Monday!

Rioting before you actually win the title is pretty embarrassing.

Incontinent_dog_and_monkey_rodeo: Rioting before you actually win the title is pretty embarrassing.

You know, it would be pretty funny if this ended up becoming a basketball redux of the 2006 college football championship. Highly rated team that was picked to win the title since the preseason (OSU/UK) defeats arch-rival (Michigan/Louisville) in a hard-fought final game leading up to the national championship that almost eclipses the title game itself in hype and importance. Team then goes on to face an opponent widely considered by the experts to be underdogs (UF/KU) and then promptly gets their asses handed to them.

I'm not saying that it's going to happen but it would be hilariously appropriate if it did.

Especially for a fanbase that prides itself on its history. They love telling you how they've been there before. Act like it.

It'll be worse when UK loses. Fortunately, residents of the state will get over it.

Not sure what a hilljack is supposed to be but if the implication is something like hillbilly, you're very wrong. There's nothing near Lexington that could pass for a hill.

FTFA:

"They try to flip a car. Police push them off and they try to flip another one," said Logan Johnson, a UK freshman. "It's pretty crazy. We are going to the championship. I don't blame people."

Joey Frederick, who joined the revelry in Lexington, said Saturday's win warranted a party on campus. "We are the best team in America," he said. "I think houses should burn."

Would sure like to think that the cops found Logan and Joey near the end of their billy clubs. Way to represent, you all are special for sure.

Really!?!? How about we start with his? Or his parents'?
If ever a comment warranted someone being kicked in the teeth....

I mentioned this in a prior thread, but living here in Lexington and being surrounded by these buffoons, (Cay-ats fans) is a special brand of hell during basketball season. It will be sweet sweet schadenfreude if they somehow get rock-chalked out of something to which they all feel so entitled. Farkin' jackanapes.

Personally, I think Joey Frederick should be lit on fire. What a moron.

I think people are missing the point that it is mostly just students doing this stuff. The rest of Lexington was rowdy, sure, but nothing like these stories read.

It's Kentucky (or, as it's known in marriage license offices, "Kintucky")... so won't please somebody think of the horses! There are horses that might get hurt. Be careful! Watch out for the horses!

If Kentucky wins the students will celebrate by getting a chance to butt rape Ned Beatty as dueling banjos play in the background.

It's not the severity of the riot, it's the absurdity of the cause.

"WHOOO! We won the semifinal!"

Really, it rival's Vancouver's "WHOOO! We lost the Stanley Cup!".

When I was in college, one that dominates basketball but not this year, it was usually the 30 year old douchbags that wanted to live in a college town that caused all the problems, not so much the students themselves.

That's Georgia, idiot.

In Kentucky, they just get a big bottle of mama's oxycontin and go muddin'.

No, you can all be trashy together.

Compare the reaction in Lawrence, KS which was a huge, happy street party. Classless hillbilly behavior....

I live in Louisville. The rest of the state is completely embarrassed. A few drunken redneck idiots riot and make the news, and the entire state suffers.
