Oh there was a time I could have called you a friend. The Smiths of the world, the interminable blather of I Said on his beloved John Cena. To all the kids in the audience yelling...

YES!
YES!
YES!

WHAT?!?

I waited my turn, I clawed up the ladder! I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth! They said I didn't have the look. The charisma.

I SHOWED UP EVERY DAMN DAY! WHEN THIS THREAD WAS ON THE ROPES WHO PUT ASIDE HIS WORK? WHO STARTED LISTING OFF RANDOM THINGS TO GET US HERE?

Yeah I saw the opening and I TOOK IT! I'm THE REAL CHAMP!!! AND IF YOU WANT THIS BELT... THIS CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE!!! GET IN LINE! YOU'LL BE WAITING A LONG TIME!

at that point i think i was moved back into my house into my old room from high school which had those glow in the dark stars and blacklights (2 of them). and also i strung kite string across the ceiling at various heights (had good, high ceiling) and put the stars on those.

so when you turns off the lights, you have a 3D star field at different depths.

didn't get me laid in high school but when i moved back home to that... oh man did they dig that 3D star-field. no one got the kite string effect until the lights when off and there were goddamn stars hovering above their heads at varying depths.

Luckily it will be online tomorrow. I'm still wondering if they'll ever release 200/201 in full form. I was the only one of my friends that saw the second one and none of them are comfortable going to some of the streaming sites that actually have it.

One thing I don't miss from the old WWF days is the way they did squash matches back then. I hated watching the whole show waiting for some big name guy to come out, only to have him appear in-ring for 2 minutes to squash tiny guys in pink briefs with names like "John Smith".

At least now they aren't afraid to squash mid card guys when needed.

Well, yes. But, I was referring to the other matches like that. Take AlbertLord Tensai - at least they picked a guy that everyone knows to job that match, instead of "I just got hired an hour ago" random guy that we never see again.

My dad used to have a hook up for the Spectrum in Philly in the 80s.
We went to so many wrestling shows.
90% of those shows were "Bret "The Hitman Hart" vs. "Phil Davis"

never realized back then I was just watching "jobbers" but my god looking back on that... seriously it's amazing people bought tickets.

I remember making a big banner on Print Shop on our 286 PC that said "DDT HIM, JAKE" and printing it out on our dot matrix printer and holding it up along the railing as he walked by.

one time we had seats right over the entrance area and my buddy got to dangle his hitman sunglasses right in bret's face as he walked out. smacked him square in the eye.
