robsul82: eddievercetti: So the fWC consensus is that the worst WMs are IX and XV

XV for it buildup and disappointing result while IX was meh until the biggest fail of a ending in wrestling history only to be topped by Victory Road 11

Any other takers?

There's generally a lot of dislike for IV, but fark it, I love tournaments and the ending was farking awesome.

XI is also high on the list. 1995, the year they almost went out of business, the year WrestleMania was held in the Hartford Civic Center...it was a Hell of a time to be a wrestling fan, lol.

Plus, XI had such memorable matches as Undertaker vs. King Kong Bundy, Lex Luger and the Bulldog vs. the Blu Brothers, and the main event was Lawrence Taylor vs. Bam Bam Bigelow.

Yep. XI was Shawn proving he could main event and little else.

Oh, and Roddy Piper yelling WHADDAYASAY?!? every five seconds in the I Quit match.

/and then Backlund was so gassed he couldn't get "I quit" out of his mouth, lol...just a clusterfark all around

Lulz, Victory Road 11. So much fail there.

Yeah, IV was pretty decent. Considering they were coming off the high that was III; they didn't fall back down too badly.

XI, where Diesel was built to be the new Hogan except Shawn stole the damn show.

Just doing some reading...

So Wrestlemania 22, at the Horizon in Chicago, was the last small Wrestlemania?

Also, does last night's reported 78,000+ crowd now mean that Wrestlemania 28 is the highest attended Wrestlemania, since it's common knowledge that attendance for WM 3 was only around 78,000 legitimate, or were last night's numbers worked, too?

Taylor was gassed after taking maybe what, 3 minutes of punishment from Bam Bam?

IV gets a bad rap for a couple of reasons.

First, the crowd. Trump Plaza had shiatty crowds that no sold everything because they were mostly just gambling drunks, not wrestling fans.

Second, IV was put to shame by the free broadcast of Clash of the Champions I, which featured the famous Ric Flair vs. Sting match that ended with a draw that put Sting over into the big time.

Something like that. Whenever anyone asks him about it, he says to this day it was more exhausting than playing in the Super Bowl.

/and that he spent the XI paycheck on crack

Agreed, but I just love that setup, lol, the stairs, the tiny entranceway, surrounded by fans...something about it just appeals to me whenever I watch IV or V.

Still shake my head about how they couldn't *just* change the ME on the fly and make it a three-way dance. It was like they've never actually booked on the fly before due to someone's injury or non-appearance.

It was the last WM to be held at a arena before hosting at stadiums. The numbers work or not surprised me, more people filled up that than a Fins game

Wrestling may be "fake," but it's possibly even more physical on the human body than even football.

Just take a look at the guys that've gotten dropped on their head from a Koko B Ware ghostbuster or Stan Hansen taking their damn heads off.

Taker. Deadman got him in Hells Gate and he reacted with a SCM later on.

He superkicked Undertaker as 'Taker rushed toward him, who was then immediately Pedigreed by Hunter. Shawn reacted by shaking his head and stomping his feet, saying "Goddamn it," stuff like that, before getting into position to count.

Don't think it will happen, but that's ok. As FNB said, we don't NEED the top comments board to know that we own the Sports tab. :)

WOW, I really hope this was accidental:
During Sunday's WrestleMania XXVIII pay-per-view broadcast, Jerry "The King" Lawler referenced TNA Wrestling Senior Vice President of Programming and Talent Relations Bruce Prichard's former WWE character Brother Love while expressing his disdain for John Laurinaitis' white suit.

"That suit is so ugly, it would give Brother Love a heart attack," Lawler said.

Prichard recently suffered a pair of 'small' heart attacks, causing him to miss the last set of Impact Wrestling tapings.

Hey, Wrestle Farking Mania beat the Super Bowl.

Sports Tab White Knights have shiat themselves in rage.

What more do you need?

Now, granted, I wouldn't mind having another thread make top commented, but not by cutting out a legitimate RAW thread.

The star ratings given by the name smarks for HHH/'Taker 3 are going to come way down once there's some distance given by time. The same people giving it 5 stars are the same ones who laugh off giving Hogan/Warrior 5 stars because "that was all drama and atmosphere, no wrestling." Am I crazy to point out that that match actually did have more wrestling than HHH/'Taker 3? Punk/Jericho's been pretty underrated by them as well. Counters to counters, superb psychology, great selling...it perfectly balanced drama AND wrestling, as the best matches do. The stupid stip knocked it down to 4.5 as a whole for me personally, but after those first minutes centered around that, it was pure 5 all the way.

I didn't say she's not doable, but paying for pics in this particular case makes absolutely no sense. Actually, paying for pics at all doesn't make sense. SharkTrager: Not at all. I haven't ever given one of them anything.

But she did email me once and of course the pics (which weren't really her, by the way) included a request to buy from her wish list in exchange for more pics. My only contact with her after that was asking if guys really bought her stuff for pics and she claimed they do. I have checked to see what she's asked for and there can be some very pricey items, and if she's getting even half of what makes her list the girl is making thousands a year off of Farkers. More power to her, but it's still annoying.

What I do know very well though is strippers. And she is exhibiting stereotypical stripper behavior, It's all a hustle.

I knew a few girls that ran a scam similar to that - they made a business out of sending photos to men, with a request for "gifts" in order to receive more explicit photos. The wishlist is a great scam, because it means pretty toys without expending their own cash and it allows them to laugh at the desperate nerds. These are the same breed of chick that sidled up to the smart guys in high school so they could get their homework done, but socialized with the jocks.

Funny story: My brother called and asked what I wanted for my birthday this year. "So, what should I get you? Earrings? Necklace? After all, you got me a really cool computer for mine."

"Salami."

"Hrm?" I could picture him doing the quizzical dog look. "Are you serious?"

"Sure. Send me a few sticks of Gallo and I'll be happy."

"Gallo. For your birthday. Are you sure?"

"Well, if you wanted to add in a box of See's, that would rock."

Ah, the joys of being an anti-AW: I have no interest in jewelry, clothes or fancy trinkets. What my brother wasn't understanding is that all I really wanted was some of the tastes of my youth that I have trouble buying where I live currently. I had to remind him that the last time I was in California on business, I had to explain to the TSA why my carry-on had over 10 pounds of dry-cured meat in it.

Funny that this story just came out today, an excerpt from the verbal history of TNA e-book -

PETEY WILLIAMS: "Russo used to make fun of [Steiner] right to his face. He's like you know what we're taking one take whatever you say, we're taking it. [Scott] is like no no no, I don't want to stumble with my words. Vince is like no man that's good. He's like you have all this pent up frustration you want to release it. [Scott] is like I don't want to look stupid! [Vince] is like no this is good this is great."

Vince? Russo? What?

Praise Cheesus: Ah, the joys of being an anti-AW: I have no interest in jewelry, clothes or fancy trinkets. What my brother wasn't understanding is that all I really wanted was some of the tastes of my youth that I have trouble buying where I live currently. I had to remind him that the last time I was in California on business, I had to explain to the TSA why my carry-on had over 10 pounds of dry-cured meat in it.

Missus Smiths is a mechanic. She got floormats for her new car and a tire inflator, plus telescopic tools for her huge-ass toolbox.

She heard about AWs once from me. The second I explained it, I got a stern look dead in the eyes followed by a "You will never participate in that ever".

After my more recent ban, she wanted to make an account here just to be able to do Farkbarks to the mods about how bullshiat it was.

I love her.

So anyway, yeah.... what's going on? We all rock that's what!

WE'RE THE NEW ROCKERS!!!!!

hope to be back around RAW time, deifnitely will be back before it ends. This thread was farkin' perfect during upgrades today. Everyone assumed I was writing out e-mails or directions or instructions or doing Systems Management... when really I was just typing into the comment box all day

"Oh you're typing something up, i'll come back"

"LOL YOU QUEER WRESTLING FANS SUCK I SPIT ON YOUR EYES WITH MY MAN JUICE!!!! *Add Comment* So how can I help you, Steve?"

It IS amusing that Vince Russo had the stupidity or balls or whatever it was to actively fark with a nutcase who constantly went into roid rages.

robsul82: nbrfwhoooo: TNA fubaring that, I can understand. Vince not calling an audible after hearing and seeing how over American Dragon was, especially the visual of all those "YES" sign on the hard camera, I don't get. Someone should have been a general in that match and seen the reaction and GODDAMNIT THAT MATCH IS STILL PISSING ME OFF!

No way on Earth Jeff's allowed out to the ring if he showed up like that in WWE. I mean, he WOULDN'T have even dared to do so if it were Vince. Vince is a douche who hates us, yeah, but he runs a tight ship. And yeah, calling an audible would've been the sensible thing to do...but then we would've missed the gloriousness of ongoing chants 3 matches later and knowing Cole and Lawler are getting "don't mention that" screamed in their ears.

He's been over like that for weeks though. Vince is willfully choosing to ignore it. The whole angle they ran with him seems designed to bury him. Fans want to see him wrestle, Vince has him run away. Fan's like him. Vince makes him an abusive boyfriend.

The DBD thing is like the anti-Cena. Vince wants to save Cena's character and he can't. He wants us to hate DBD, and he can't do that either. He has to be going nuts because the fans just are not doing what he wants them to do.

Oh and the latest is Cenacat had to get his butt shaved because he Ortoned himself. Mrs Smiths' sister called up laughing hysterically as they were holding down Cena and cutting his shiat-clumped fur off.

ARIBIAIBIA DOO DOO!
