nbrfwhoooo: Bet my best friend 1 dollar that the Miz would get the pinfall and the The Rock would win. Lost a buck because I was hoping for the Goldust rumor to be true.

So I won a buck. Other than that, WrestleMania 28 gets a non Roman numeral.

Goldust rumor?

Goldust vs Cody

again, sorry for my lack of formatting.

I think we can all agree that the big shock of the night was Age In A Cage actually being entertaining.

TheManofPA: Overall, I enjoyed WM more than RR or EC and it did hit the notes that it should have. Biggest indicator is I didn't get mad, turn it off, and start playing FFXIII-2 (just went down to 30 at BB today where I had a gift card)

FirstNationalBastard: True, but he needs an Undertaker rub, not a Cena rub.

The time for the Cena rub was last summer, before everything went off the rails. Now, Punk is past Cena. He needs to beat an old guy.

Yeah, that's another way of looking at it. And if they're going to do it, they better do it in the NY area (or somewhere with that kind of crowd) with a smark darling so the crowd doesn't go batshiat at a top rope GTS through a table or whatever ends The Streak.

I think a lot of us figured it could be good. My main concern was them overusing Michaels.

FirstNationalBastard: robsul82: Grand_Moff_Joseph: That's a good point. Never really thought about it in that way. Now that you mention it...what about a Cena heel turn on Punk?

...and that's what I've thought since the summer, lol. They had a scenario for it, even if you don't want to go for Punk absconding with the belt and only returning once a month for title defenses as winning a title in WWE is a tacit acceptance of the contractual clause of the 30 day rule (which I would've loved, lol), Cena refused the Vince/Johnny screwjob help of Vince once at MITB and it cost him. SummerSlam, Vince runs down, and this time he takes it and beats the Hell out of Punk with a chair or something to take the title back, on the grounds of "I AM Vince's Jeter, and it's Goddamned sweet to be Vince's Jeter." New man, new era, new day.

FirstNationalBastard: Punk doesn't need a rub.

If he's ever going to be #1, he needs another little shove.

True, but he needs an Undertaker rub, not a Cena rub.

The time for the Cena rub was last summer, before everything went off the rails. Now, Punk is past Cena. He needs to beat an old guy.

I have to agree for the most part. Cena's character is so botched right now, Punk is miles past him, and even some of the mid-card guys (Kofi, Zigs, etc) have more cred with the fans than Cena.

Yeah, Age in a Cage was probably gonna be a good match the whole time, what we feared was a HHH ego trip.

My vote is on Rock winning. Though regarding that, I think it will be leading Cena to some kind of storyline. I don't know about a heel turn, but some kind of soul-searching angle for sure. Character-wise, I actually agree with Cena losing. He literally had no where else to go if he beat the Rock. At least now Cena has something to do.

I REALLY enjoyed FFXIII-2, but then again, I'm not as hard to please as some fans of the series. Tons of crap to do during and post-game. Used the hell out of my strategy guide for the extra stuff.

/Also I heart Noel
//Okay back to Jackie Chan Adventures on Netflix

Finally getting around to FF13. so far, epic game is epic. :D

I got about 5 or 6 hours into FF13 and just gave up. The story felt like it was going nowhere. That and I hated the combat system.

A "problem" is that it takes a while to really get going, but it kind of mirrors the journey of the cast. I enjoyed it, just frustrated there wasn't a solid reason to do anything post-game, other than grind out the Crystariums and the missions.

I enjoyed the game, but I'm not going to dismiss its shortcomings. FFXIII-2 tried really hard to reverse that. XD;

Also, Lightning and Fang are badass.

Story is moving a bit slow at the moment (about to get out of Lake Bresha), but so far, I do like the "rapid-fire" element of the battle system. I just hope it doesn't get too complicated for its own good.

That said, the music and visuals are stunning. Makes anything on a PS2 look pedestrian.

Best Wrestlemania in YEARS, maybe even a decade plus.

I don't get all of the hate for the Sheamus win. Daniel Bryan is way, way over. He is not going anywhere. He'll be back. He was not going to have a classic with f*cking Sheamus.

Orton/Kane surprised me and was one of the better undercard Mania matches in a while. The flying chokeslam was awesome.

Show/Cody was blah but whatever.

Divas match was blah as well but it was to be expected.

End of an Era...I was out of my seat doing pushups when UT kicked out of the Sweet Chin Music into the Pedigree. Fitting final chapter to the HBK/HHH/UT saga.

12 man tag was fine, it was good to see Ryder highlighted. Ziggler is the best bump taker since Mr. Perfect.

Punk/Jericho was very, very good. I loved the ending when Punk positioned himself with the Anaconda Vice to avoid knees to the head. Very well done but I kinda wish Jericho had won. He was better than Punk in there tonight.

Rock/Cena...ROCK DID IT! I don't care how it impacts the business, I enjoyed it immensely. Rock has now beaten Hogan, Austin, and Cena at Wrestlemania. Greatest of All Time.

God I hope not. I hope the "contemplation" angle, if that's where this is leading, isn't more goddamn melodrama that's supposed to lead to SuperCena emerging from the dumps triumphant. If he gets dark, brooding, and angry, let Kane be right after all this time.

I think it was more imperative that Punk won than Cena but yea, Jericho has shown that Punk still needs to improve if he wants to be BEST IN THE WORLD. Of course Punk's point about Jericho never really being "the guy" is totally valid too so maybe Punk is striking the best balance possible. Who knows.

My friend put a hole through his TV tonight. From what I understand, he had a group of people over and after the end he put a hole in it and sent it to the porch. To think about what it's done, maybe? Either way, I could get a free TV out of all this (that doesn't work...)

OK, so my thoughts:

* Sheamus/Bryan cast a pall on the evening that meant I cared about pretty much nothing until HIAC. Thanks for that, Vinnie. You couldn't trim 10 farking minutes from the Blandy Boreton match or the backstage bullshiat to actually give us a match here? You cheated us out of this match last year, and you did it again this year; why do you hate us?
* Taker/HHH was pretty decent. Not a technically great match, but they told the story well, and the right thing happened in the end. Taker looks really old.
* Punk/Jericho was match of the night, definitely.
* Rock/Cena was... really, really boring. The ending was a surprise, though; I was shocked to see Rock go over, and cleanly at that, and I'd like to see where this leads for Cena (hopefully to a heel turn).

I'm thinking Jericho attacks Sheamus or something. Jericho is there to put other guys over, clearly, so why not have Sheamus beat him too?

I hope he faces Punk again at the next PPV though, it's in my neck of the woods and I'd find $ for a ticket if that happens.
