Going missing on a solo in a 'rugged' wilderness is not 'mysterious', Bob and Terry, for some reason it happens on a regular basis.

ftfa: "True was last seen wearing only shorts and a T-shirt and carrying a water bottle."

This.

I've read Born to Run and True seems like a pretty cool guy. I hope he's just doing his usual disappearing into the wilderness thing.

My wife just told me a couple minutes ago. We were just about to walk out the door for our long training run for the weekend. This is a downer.

If that's the case I'm sure we'll see a lot of postings by the "running is bad for the body" morans. But I doubt that's what happened to him.

Well, what else do you think it was? There were no signs of physical trauma and the weather in NM has been pretty warm, so I doubt it was exposure. Heart attack or stroke seem very likely.

Ow! That was my feelings!: Going missing on a solo in a 'rugged' wilderness is not 'mysterious', Bob and Terry, for some reason it happens on a regular basis.

Not saying you're wrong for the average runner but this guy lived in a hut in the Northern Mexican canyons, running for 50+ miles for fun. He went out for a solo 12...not much for him and something happened.

That said, I know this is FARK and I've been as dickish as anyone on here...but I do have a soft spot for Micah and he got a lot of folks to get off their couches so for that, we should be grateful

/I was proud of myself for refraining from the Breitbart thread..

The advantage of running every day is that you die healthier.*
