Don't think Swansea will get relegated, they play great, but were outclassed today by a Spurs team who had every player on fire. Dream weekend as far as results go and a United win tomorrow would seal it.

Liverpool are closer to the relegation zone than the top four.

Carroll's dive was 38 times worse than Perch's, but neither had the impact that Mark Davies's dive had yesterday, but we don't talk about those teams.

ScouserDuck: Norfolking Chance: ScouserDuck: So fox soccer guys talk about the Reina thing. I get it. Reina should not have leaned in. I'm fine with that. Why is there no outrage/talking down about the super excessive and classless simulation. What reina did wasn't smart, what the Newcastle player did was blatantly reflective of an arsehole and should have a punishment as well.

/recap...not defending reina, attacking the NC player.

The reason why people don't attack diving and simulation is that they would be hippocrites of the highest order. Every team has players on it that dive and make a meal of the slightest touch. At least half the the Liverpool team would of done the same thing, along with half of the Newcastle team and any other team on the league.

Nope. Fark this. Terrible explanation. First off, nothing in the history of history has ever kept people from being hypocrites. Secondly, this wasn't during play, wasn't going to get Newcastle a penalty, wasn't Giotto help them win (they were up by two, in control, 10 min left). This guy tripped reina, then without getting touch made it look like he got punched in the face by Apollo Creed. This isn't run of the mill diving that soccer is still plagued with. This is a guy entirely just being a arsehole through and through.

This is just the same as the run of the mill shiatty diving that goes on in every game. Your team does it just like mine does. Live with it and take your lumps or start campaining for Suarez to be banned along with Perch.

Carroll's "dive" could be explained as him stumbling like the oaf he rather than an actual dive (I lean more toward "went down easy because he's got below zero confidence, but not a yellow-worthy dive"). Perch's was blatant and undeniable.

Perch absolutely made a meal out of it but it wouldn't have mattered anyways. Reina clearly made a head butting motion and atkinson was right there with a perfect view of it. Perch may have dove but even if he stays on his feet it's still a red. Like someone said above, even if you miss when you swing for a punch it's still a red.

One more point and we've won the league. One point! Hail hail.

Exactly.

The main reason no one is making a big deal about Perch's simulation is because it's irrelevant. He could have rolled on the grounds, squirted ketchup on his face, and screamed bloody murder, and it's a red card. He could have leaned in to kiss Reina after he did it, and it's a red card.

You can't attempt to head butt a player. Ever. It's a red card. Always. Why is this even a discussion?

It was in play, actually. There should have been a penalty.

If Rovers can do the double over United today, it would be a nearly poetic way to beat the drop.

That's not what I would call it :)

May the ref's team win.

United signing Howard Webb on a long-term contract has paid dividends the last few seasons.

Slow game...but Blackburn seems to have a bit more energy. A couple of those plays it just looked like United was lazy and didn't want to go for the ball.

And of course they score just as I say they look lazy.

What is the keeper doing? Nice goal but no way that should go in. Really too bad. Blackburn have put together a nice defensive goal.

Boring game. Poor United performance. Good Blackburn defensive performance. Lovely goals. Huge three points. Amazing away fans throughout.

7 games to go lads! Have to clearly favor united for the title now. City has to be perfect to have any shot. Wolves have all but secured themselves a spot in the championship, really no path for them to be safe. Interesting run in.

See you all next week.

All I've got for this match...Beautiful goals from Valencia and Young. Valencia has, by far, been the best player of the season for United so far...And as for City...well...

Man this has got to be the weakest Prem since the Champions league era began. This United team is rebuilding and has suffered some serious injuries yet its looking inceasingly likely they'll walk it again. You can't buy jammy'ness. You hear that shiek Mansour? Do you?!

More than a few 'top clubs' need to get rid of dead wood and buy some class from Europes other 'premier' leagues in the summer.
