Damn, and I was left with so many questions after watching the second one....

Sequels rarely live up to the original.

So I had Hitler, Mussolini, and the Human Centipede creator in one room with a gun with 2 bullets, I'd shoot him twice.

Haven't watched it yet, but that's my fear. I'm hoping for a "bad-good" movie, not a Masters Dissertation.

I thought the second one took itself too seriously. The first had some good laughs, but the second just made me feel bad.

devilEther: I thought the second one took itself too seriously. The first had some good laughs, but the second just made me feel bad.

You know, you finally articulated my problem with it. It was devoid of any sort of horror movie humor, and also, the "oh my God, what I am watching" factor of the first one was missing since there isn't really any new ground to break with the concept.

And, yes, as someone else said, it was oddly "artsy" considering what it is. I don't even know how, or why, they went with the sepia film look.

And what the hell would they even do with a third one? Same plot, but 36 people?

There was a Human Centipede 2? And people on this proud and noble website admit to watching it?

2012-03-30 05:18:55 PM
Seeing the HUman Centipede 2 in a theater was easily the most fun movie going experience I have ever had. Seriously. It was a midnight showing, the crowd was intoxicated and loud. I have never laughed so hard in a movie theater.

We had to watch it in class.
Why they showed it in an Economics course, I'll never know.

HC2 is easily the worst movie of the last few years. And I liked the first movie.

I had a similar experience when I saw Bats. Being drunk really helped that movie.

I can definitely see how someone might not enjoy the movie if they just watched it alone on their couch or something. Hell I'm not sure I would have even liked it a little bit in that context.

I just read the plot summary on Wikipedia. I strongly suggest you not do that. Ever. In life. Seriously, some Lot's Wife ish is waiting for you if you even think of looking there.

2012-03-30 06:10:53 PM
When even the horror sites I frequent said the sequel was a awful movie (and they all loved the first one), I knew to not waste my time.

Though for some reason Fangoria thinks everyone is wrong and its actually just "A dark comedy" and Tom Six's way of saying Fark you to the critics. Might be right but no ones going to watch it still.

2012-03-30 06:14:43 PM
Shame, I heard the third one would bring things full circle.

HC 2 was boring as fark. I'd say 3/4 of the movies is just the camera following the retard/crazy man around while he plans, acts creepy, and nothing happens. The other 1/4 is the human centipede part which really wasn't much different than the first movie.

If you are hoping for a movie so bad it is good, this was not it. This movie was so bad it is just plain bad.

I'd drop Mussolini for Joseph Stalin... and I''d *really* have a hard time deciding whether to shoot Stalin or the creator of Human Centipede with both bullets (yes, Hitler was an unmitigated allegedly human bastard of the worst kind, but I rate Stalin higher on my list of Wastes Of Human DNA)

Good thing the Human CentiPad 3 already came out.

Seen the first, liked it, nowhere near as "shocking" as many people think (I'd put early Water's films more "shocking")-the second one, could never finish, took the odd camp humor and hints of Re-Animatoresque humor, and threw them out and went for shock/nastiness...
Gotta say i liked Dieter Laser (villan first movie) did his role pretty well, not great art, but fun trshy movie, so not a acting tour de force, but for what it was he did fine.
So first movie ok for fun second one sucks horribly.

What about the scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where one shot goes through three Nazis? I think it was a Luger.

HC2 - to save people the trouble of looking it up...
Was given its advertising due to the UK banning it before it was even released (links showed up here then about it), and the summary I know of it is: Guy watches HC1(omg so meta), feels sexually aroused by the idea, goes and makes his own.

If you could line up Stalin in front of the creator of Human Centipede in front of Hitler, and give me an M1 carbine, at 10 meters range... triple headshot with one round, and I'd die happy.
