Foundling: Take all the Republican candidates that have promised:
1. equal protection under the law regardless of sexuality
2. enforcement of a maximum wage ten times the minimum wage enforced using income tax
3. true separation of church and state
4. resolution of differences with Iran using diplomatic means exclusively
5. breaking up banks and oil companies that drive corruption

Let these use the convention to select which one will run against President Obama.

As for the other candidates, that's what the police in riot gear are there to protect us against.

Yeah. Turn the cops on those you disagree with politically. That's good old fashioned liberal tolerance for ya.

It takes 90 minutes just to fill my balloons with pee!

Karac
Well then. just take out a pair of handcuffs and stock locking their handcuffs to parking meters. Then if they get thirsty of have to piss, they can unlocks their own locks and the problem disappears. Of course, this presumes that while they might not have the keys to their own cuffs on their person, they did have the foresight to give a nearby friend a pair. And if they didn't do that, then Darwin's law takes precedence.

Sleeping Dragons are designed so that the person can free themselves. Also, if the goal is to blockade something for a couple of hours, just pee beforehand. Who can't hold it for a few hours?

The police could have left at any point. The guy doing the spraying literally stepped over the protesters. And no one attempted to stop him. If you meant that the crowd of spectators was the threat, then why weren't they subdued instead of the people sitting on the ground?

Sorry, pal, but you see, there's this country maybe you've heard of before. Its called the United States of America. And in this country, there's this thing called "free speech".

And elected officials abridging that freedom, the highest and most august in all the land (hence being the First Ammendment, and not the 17th ammendment or the 8th ammendment or something other than the 1st ammendment) is violating the freedom they swore to uphold.

The Soviet Politburo also used to whine about people protesting their policies.

But Bloomberg was never terribly concerned with party backing or campaign donations. Being richer than Romney tends to do that.

Agreed. And now I know that's a troll or crazy person. Minimum wage is $7.25 (though some states are higher), which at about 2000 hours a year (50 weeks of 40 hours a week, two weeks unpaid vacation), comes to $14,500 (which is a tragedy on its own but a different topic). Ten times that brings us up to $145K/year. Which, for a IT expert with a post-Bachelor's degree, isn't unthinkable, and it's ridiculously low when you consider the high paying jobs, like being a lawyer or a doctor.

Sure, no one likely NEEDS more than that to survive, but a person should be allowed to get what the market allows for their services. If you tax everything over $145K at 100%, I guarantee I'm not working harder than it takes to make $145K.

Also, note the point about Iran and the use of the word exclusively. I don't want to go to war with Iran if there's absolutely anything we can do otherwise, but who is foolish enough to completely rule out force?

I thought it was some person claiming the crazy people have taken over the GOP and the real RINOs shouldn't be allowed in, since several of the points seemed like what someone in favor of a small government would want, but I don't think I've ever heard a Republican advocate a maximum wage.

Scerpes: Foundling: Scerpes: Foundling: Take all the Republican candidates that have promised:
1. equal protection under the law regardless of sexuality
2. enforcement of a maximum wage ten times the minimum wage enforced using income tax
3. true separation of church and state
4. resolution of differences with Iran using diplomatic means exclusively
5. breaking up banks and oil companies that drive corruption

Let these use the convention to select which one will run against President Obama.

As for the other candidates, that's what the police in riot gear are there to protect us against.

Yeah. Turn the cops on those you disagree with politically. That's good old fashioned liberal tolerance for ya.

I haven't been charged with breaking any law, but the Republican party has promised to use the death penalty to keep me from adopting.
After being threatened with murder, as I have been, I'm perfectly comfortable with the cops using riot gear against these candidates.
None of these candidates spoke against riot police attacking Americans that ask for the law to apply to Wall Street as well as taxpayers.
Let the Republican candidates explain themselves to the God they've been using as an alibi.

If you beat Americans and lie to them enough times, the tolerance gets injured.

I really don't give a damn what harm you think has been done to you, your position is immoral and flawed. The death penalty to keep you from adopting? Drama queen much?

I'd be against you adopting because you sound completely unbalanced. It's not ok to use violence, even through a surrogate, against those you disagree with politically.

unbalanced? Seems perfectly sane and logical to me. I can see no problem with eventually lashing out at the people who have been attacking you. There is nothing immoral against fighting back.

TV's Vinnie: Oh, I'm sure all of those Tampa police will be nice guys and bring fire hoses to help cool off all of those poor suffering protestors in the hot Summer Sun.
