I'm a crossing guard. A couple weeks ago, an eagle attacked a pigeon about ten feet from my corner. Hit it once out of the air, then again on the ground before the pigeon hid under a car. Then it just waited on a nearby porch for it to come out.

The video is cute, even if her voice is annoying. The fox is really beautiful and the eagle is stunning.

I would have been sad to see that. Circle of life and all, but I don't want to see the carnage. I was walking my dog years ago and watched a crow swoop down and rip a snail right from it's shell. I screamed like a little girl. I'm not a vegetarian, I eat meat on a regular basis, but my irrational brain doesn't really recognize the steak as having been a cow and having a family, it comes from Ralph's and is shrink wrapped.

that's image stabilization for you. not sure if it was her camera that did it or youtubes new "stabilize video" feature. look at her other videos, unlikely it's fake.

I'm amazed at how calm each animal is. This is what it must have been like on Noah's Ark, except with more rain and less snow.

My mom lost a cat to an eagle once when they lived down south on the penn.

Cat got snatched off of the porch, eagle got up about 50 feet in the air, then couldn't hold onto the spitting, scratching mass of fury. Dropped the cat into the Kenai river, flew in circles until the cat floated back up, then swooped back down and grabbed the body. Last anyone ever saw of it.

Goodbye, Kitty. You were a stupid cat anyway.

I hope she is smart enough not to be feeding them. Of course if I had eagles hanging out on my porch I would prolly thrown 'em something just for not eating the cats.

I would also bet that those animals have getting handouts. They have obviously become very accustomed to the woman's prescence. I would LOVE to have a fox for a pet. They're supposedly like having the best of both cats and dogs in one package. (from reading about the fox domestication program going on in Russia)

Cool. Some of you may enjoy the following link. It's to a live feed of a pair of Bald Eagles in Decorah, IA in their nest. They just hatched three babies and they are awesome!

A lot of the time it's just mom or dad sitting there, but, often you also get to see food being brought to the nest and feeding, etc.

My co-worker and I found this last year and got addicted to watching them all the way throught until the younge eagled left the nest. Really so amazing to watch.

Opps, my mistake... this batch hasn't hatched yet, but, they have started. A pip in the hole means that they saw a hole in the egg and usually within 24 to 48 hours there will be a hatch.

Not quite, I just gave it a bit of the ole Etch-A-Sketch treatment.

I like the premise but the plot needs work. They're not going to be the next Incredible Journey unless they go somewhere more exciting than somebody's porch.

This movie needs to call in some professional writers.

You might want to look at her dozens of other videos, where eagles and cats confront each other on her porch. I suppose she faked all those. Or just decided to add a CG fox and start using editing trickery? Doubtful.

Shennanigans. You can tell the fake "pet was killed" story by the the "cool story bro" tone, and the endings, where the storyteller shows their complete lack of concern about the animal by calling it stupid, etc--those are always fake stories, for some reason. Probably b/c no one cares about a non-existent dead pet.

Lack of concern due to I do not like cats, and this one in particular was annoying as hell because she knew that and thus spent every damn moment that I was visiting either trying to sit on my lap or follow me around yowling. Ever try to go fishing with a yowling cat? Not fun. Was tempted many times to throw her in the river myself. Eagle just beat me to it is all.

I doubt it's fake, eagles eat pets up here all the time. We call small dogs "eagle bait" for a good reason.

CAPTIAN SLAPPY: somebody has been feeding wildlife. free food makes for strange friends. Clearly they are waiting for something and that fox has been there before

They are indeed being feed by that annoying ham. The eagle wants to eat the cat but is hesitant due to the presense of the fox and the knowledge that bubblehead is about to bring some fish or meat out. The fox wants to eat the cat but is also hesitant due to the presense of the eagle and knowledge of the feeding about to occur. The cat is just an entitled a$$whole. This will only last until the next time bubblehead forgets to fead her adopted "pets", then true nature will take over.
