Last year for Johnny's Farmville we tried watermelon and corn. The corn was a fiasco, and the watermelon produced 2 small melons. It would have been cheaper to buy them.
This year, blueberries, 'maters, peppers, squash and a few herbs. I probably won't live long enough to see the blueberries pay off, but at least they seem hardy and have a few berries.

Repairs? Yes. The contractor is done, at least inside the house. Still has to do the siding on the outside wall. Redecorating? No. Still painting. Got ost of the tri done and the ceiling all pried this weekend. Mrs. Buck has Tues/Wed off and should be able to finish off the ceiling and walls. If not, I have Good Friday off (what copany gives Good Friday off? LoL) and can wrap it up then.

In my 33 years in Michigan 's Upper Peninsula , I have never seen a newborn baby moose.
The mother picked a small, quiet neighborhood, and had her baby in a front yard just off of US 2 at 5:30 AM.
Allen and I were out bike riding when we came upon the pair. The lady across the street from this house
Told us she saw it being born. We saw them at 5:30 PM.
So the little one was 12 hours
old.

When i briefly worked in the car hire industry (i almost wrote cat hire, hihi) we sometimes dealt with those types. They are nice people but their ignorance is astounding. As in driving through flooded rivers astounding causing the SUV to be written of due to water damage. The guy thought it would be ok, he had a 4x4. Mostly we had UN, WHO and NGO types that were a bit more clued up.

I pretty much had the opinion that it was mostly the newer generations who were not taught world geography let alone American geography until I started meeting people here who didn't know where California was, or even that it was to the west. The story that really surprised me the most was an Iowa farmer I met at an air show who told me about a well-dressed "mature" woman he once met who corrected him when he told her where he was from. She said "where I'm from, we pronounce it O-hi-o" in a very superior voice.(!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?)

Yep, a while back he had a mega hairball which completely blocked his intestine. He really scared the poop out us because it took a couple of days before they figured it out. It didn't show on xray but 'something' showed up with ultrasound. They couldn't tell what it was until they got in there. He bounced back quickly once he was cleared out.

Is he neutered? that may be a mark that he was caught, tipped, neutered, and released. It's a good thing.

I am the one that took him to get neutered with shots. There was no need for clipping his ear. The guy is prick who likes to mess with the animals around here.

Oh, that is really scarey, are the authorities aware of this? Sometimes people who do this to innocent animals will "graduate" to people, he needs to be watched, _{or go ahead and take his lungs.}
