A Weeping Angel that big could send Amy and Rory so far back in time that they could have bridge parties with Adam and Eve.

No. You're not. I understand wanting to flesh them out but the more we learn about them the less intriguing they become. Had Moffat stopped at Blink they would have been right up there with Daleks and Cybermen as far as iconic Who villains but things got bungled on their subsequent appearances.

Nope. I'm right there with you. Totally awesome in their first episode, and it should have been left there for a long time.

Also, this "ZOMG RORY AND AMY ARE LEAVING" BS is getting very tiresome as well. By the time it happens, I just frankly won't give a fark anymore.

Remember the old days before the internet when we got to be surprised by the Doctor regenerating or companions leaving? (or should I just replace the onion on my belt?)

Even in the old days, it was rarely a surprise when an actor left.

I predict that a Weeping Angel will send Rory back to Hull in 1920, where he will meet Kathy Nightingale and her small red dress.

No, you're not. As much as I love the concept and thought Blink was utterly brilliant, they're becoming as groan-worthy as the Borg in Star Trek. You keep going back to the same well too many times, and it's going to run dry.

Didn't stop me from making a Weeping Angel tree-topper for Christmas, though. :)

The thing with the Weeping Angels for me was when they were first presented in "Blink" I thought that they were energy beings that turned to stone when observed, that combined with the fact the audience never actually saw them move, they were terrifying. But when "Time of Angels" showed them solid and moving like a big game of Freeze Tag....Well, they just weren't as very anymore. They became a stock MoW.

If Rory dies, I will be extremely bummed.

Sadly, even before the Internet, when a Companion left or a Doctor regenerated, it was national news in the UK.

If you can find it, look for the wonderful retrospective "The Key to Time", which is a history of DW's first 21 years.

Agreed. Blink is one of the best episodes of Doctor Who, and the Weeping Angels were brilliant. If they wanted to revisit the Angels, they could have done it without adding any more background to them.

Why would you sacrifice yourself to save Rory? Every time he dies the universe shiats itself and brings him back anyway.

True, but nuWho has been rather anti-death. And Adric had worn out his welcome anyway. I mean, that costume was just beggin' for a killin' anyway.

No, you have to go. You have to go, and live there, and keep looking at it, forever.

And as far as 'Amy and Rory won't necessarily die'... it's Rory for God's sake. Of course he's going to die. Rory always dies. I'd be shocked if he actually lived.

To bring her back would take some serious doing, including a revisit to a rather expensive set and possibly a Tennant cameo. Of course, didn't Tennant leave the journal and River's screwdriver at the library as well?

Pretty sure that would still prevent her from sacrificing herself to save Amy and Rory. Unless somehow they visit the Library.

Yup, I think it's still there. I think it's in the realm of possibilities but beyond somehow getting her to regenerate out of the machine I doubt it's be worth it. Or they could put her consciousness into a Ganger. I just don't think that the doctor would settle for her death. Also, when it was Tennant it was his first time meeting her. Maybe the 11th would have a better idea how to save her after finally ending their time together. The 11th was the last one she was with before she took the mission.
