(Fox News)   You know how Spike Lee retweeted George Zimmerman's home address to his 250,000 followers? Well, the unrelated elderly couple that lives there and has been forced to move due to death threats would like to have a few words   (foxnews.com) divider line 649

but only one has hundreds of millions of dollars thousands of Twitter followers.

FTFY. Joe Nobody retweeting the address to his seven followers is no big deal. Spike Lee, with his large following and celebrity influence? That's something else entirely.

no, I said what I meant to say. Thanks for the needless correction though.

I'm sure it's what you meant to say, but your point is not relevant. Spike Lee's net worth is totally unrelated to the profound recklessness and irresponsibility of his actions. His large number of Twitter followers is precisely what made his actions so profoundly reckless and irresponsible.

Your concern for the mom is touching and no less than my own. It behooves you, however, to remember that mom is out there appearing in front of congressional committees, rights rallies and pretty much every media camera within a thousand miles. Um, who's doing that? So far we all think Lee's an ass for this. Perhaps for other things, too, but definitely this.

This ain't the first time this story has been reported.

Partisans stirred up a mob and now they're acting surprised that the mob is doing bad things.

People need to start back pedaling now on their over the top rhetoric and putting these crazies in their place otherwise there won't be much room to weasel out of the blame when bad things happen.

Uh,....no Trayvon's death is what happens when one guy who we know almost nothing concrete about kills another guy for reasons we know almost nothing about. The rest is all "Racial outrage!" on one side or the other.

It could be that Trayvon was completely innocent and the police are covering things up, it could be that Zimmerman was completely justified, and the police thought due to witnesses this was justified and 100% in the right to do nothing. Either way this whole case is nothing now but a platform for racial wharrrrblegarble based on HUGE assumptions and gerenralizations.

As to Spike Lee, he's a celebrity who makes money of racial issues of COURSE he's going to do something stupid like this. Every time there's a front page headline with any racial content his sales go up 10%. He should be put in the same class of "opinion commentator" and should be ignored and forgotten.

I'm so glad to know that I am not the only one who's keeping track of how often my neighbors call 911.

If you make that many in a small geographic area, word eventually gets around. I found out about the excessive 911 caller in my old condo complex after she called them on me for essentially not having my blinds 100% closed. The cop that showed up clearly didn't want to be there, explained that she called them weekly for one reason or another, and just asked that we made sure the blinds were shut next time.

Not pulling up the article. This thread is too large for me to cross check how many folks condemning Spike Lee have egged on 4Chan's shenanigans, or engaged in such themselves. And no, it doesn't matter what the end result was, it matters that someone would do it in the first place.

Spike Lee pulled a 4Chan; what would have happened if it was Zimmerman's address? would there still be 'you suck Spike!' posts, or would he be applauded?

Of note, President Obama and this kid's family keeps referring to people as "they". "They" killed him. "They" are covering this up. Is this a vast conspiracy of HOA's? Police? Hispanics? Whites?

Last summer I repeated predictions that there would be violence in the streets, probably starting about June.

So far everything is coming along right on schedule: We conveniently forget, 99 out of 100 young black men who are killed are killed by other blacks, yet we focus in on this one particular case, because it advances false stereotypes and furthers the political agenda of the extremists.

All of these loudmouths are quick to forget: Zimmerman was attacked, beaten severely, his nose was broken, his head was lacerated and the young man was bashing his skull against the sidewalk.

Yes I concede, he probably should have stayed out of it, but two wrongs do not make a right---and three sure as hell don't.

Everyone also forgets: Two independent eyewitnesses confirm Zimmerman's version of the story.
