If this (AR) movie gets filmed, I hope the studio that makes it is ready for the financial loss.

/an arrested development movie can do NOTHING but flop. Hell, Bateman is box office poison, no one watched the show when it was on tv to begin with, and this just spells BAD IDEA. Not everything is Family Guy\Futurama (the new Futurama sucks, BTW. Hell, most of the OLD Futurama is not very good).

I could be wrong, but I'm expecting more of Netflix exclusive or on-demand movie. Like an extended episode. I doubt they're spending $80 million on one. AD did pick up a lot of fans after it was cancelled, but yeah, I doubt it's even on the radar of the 2 and a Half Men fans of the world.

At least I know I'll watch the shiat out of it. I just rewatched the series this week and still marvel at the writing. I love the little things like characters sitting on benches and obscuring the type on the ads to give hidden messages like "Arm Off" and "Wee Brain".

Netflix did purchase the rights to Arrested Development. My guess would be you're guess is correct. Probably is not a stupid move either since Netflix has the entire series on their streaming catalog anyway. So they can see the stats in regards to how popular something is among their users. Thus making this film, provided Netflix is producing it, a very calculated decision that they're confident will pay off.

Simply not true, at least in recent history. After looking up the two things I've seen him in recently, "Horrible Bosses" and "Couples Retreat"(which was bad btw, not that that matters), both did well over their budget. I didn't see "The Changeup" but that one also well exceeded it's budget.
