And Mike Brown thinks LeBron is a Diva.

So, if I read the article correctly, Bryant was benched when the Lakers were trailing by 14 with just under 6 minutes remaining, and was put back in with about 2 minute remaining with the deficit trimmed to 9.

Meh.

I was watching that game and it was baffling. Brown had a prime opportunity to put him back in with a little over 4 minutes left after the Lakers grabbed the momentum and elected not to do it. At the two minute point, the game was basically over since Memphis had regained control since no one could defend a perimeter shot.

The article mentions it a bit, but Brown's substitution patterns have sucked all year. Kobe is playing too many minutes as a whole, and Brown keeps messing with the rotation like he doesn't know what he has. He's a good coach but he needs to start communicating better with his players.

FTA: >"It's his decision to make," Bryant said. "He makes the decision. He's the coach. If you guys are looking for a story, I'm not going to give you one. I can't sit here and criticize his decisions. In leading this ballclub, that's something I can't afford to do. I got to have his back. I've had his back the whole season; I can't start doing something crazy now. It wouldn't make no sense."

FTFM

Letting LeBron James do whatever he wants to do on and off the court got him a decent w/l percentage, but it's not coaching. It's pandering.

Sadly, I think it is. I think he's done coaching.

I'd be more disappointed if Kobe wasn't upset that he was stuck on the bench while his team was losing.

As a Laker fan who moved to LA from Cleveland, I've had the uniquely wonderful opportunity to watch Mike Brown ruin both my NBA teams.

It's been a real joy...

always hold hope that the Shaw-Father will kick Brown to the bleachers during the game. or Phil comes back and slaps him to defensive coach. pipe dreams, i know.

sorry for your pain. at least the Lakers don't have the best record, so maybe they win it all!
