There's really only one interpretation you can read into drinking heavily with someone alone in a cabin in the woods. You really should expect this. Man, woman, doesn't matter. What happens on the range stays on the range... and the sleeping bag. Ya'know, actually, let's go ahead and toss that bag on the fire. I don't think we can ever wash it all out.

If you're not gonna read the whole comment, just go fark yourself.

All I wanted to do is make a joke about a dirty sleeping bag. To so, you need a little bit of set up before the punchline. Set some expectations of what's coming next, change them suddenly to the absurd with the punchline, and follow though with a second.

Now if you don't like the joke, that's one thing, But if you take it seriously you're on the wrong website.

I just posted some of my experiences with this in the "Sleep Murder" thread up above. It's definitely real.

I do *not* put myself in situations where I may be sleeping near women who are not my wife. Once a friend of hers was staying over and I considered clandestinely leaving obstacles in front of our bedroom door to trip on and wake me up should this happen. Luckily it did not and there is neither a Dear Penthouse or Dear Big House story to tell.

Actually, it is now easier to get away with it. We just had a guy who got off for raping a girl with Asbergers syndrome because the judge thought that "she was incapable of clarifying she meant 'no' to her rapist", and because her testimony was "halted" is the best I can put it "so because she could not make an accurate testimony, her rapist could not stay in jail"

Yes you can! Here are ten tips to help you prevent rape;

1. Don't put Rohipnol in a woman's drink.

2. When you see a woman walking by herself, leave her alone.

3. If you pull over to help a woman whose car has broken down, remember not to rape her.

4. If you are in an elevator and a woman gets in, don't rape her.

5. When you encounter a woman who is asleep, the safest course of action is to not rape her.

6. Never creep into a woman's home through an unlocked door or window, or spring out at her from between parked cars, or rape her.

7. Remember, people go to the laundry room to do their laundry. Do not attempt to molest someone who is alone in a laundry room.

8. Use the Buddy System! If it is inconvenient for you to stop yourself from raping women, ask a trusted friend to accompany you at all times.

9. Carry a rape whistle. If you find that you are about to rape someone, blow the whistle until someone comes to stop you.

10. Don't forget: Honesty is the best policy. When asking a woman out on a date, don't pretend that you are interested in her as a person; tell her straight up that you expect to be raping her later. If you don't communicate your intentions, the woman may take it as a sign that you do not plan to rape her.

While I like the idea that we need to put the ownership of rape back on the rapist and not on the survivor but as rapist are typicality acting alone it is hard for this sort of thing to work.

Sweden really is about as expensive as the rest of Europe. And they have 7-Elevens everywhere (yes just like 7-Eleven in US, Canada) so you can actually eat somewhat cheaply. And, there is decent Asian food at reasonable prices

Norway, however, cost an arm, a leg, and your arse for everything. Sweden is like a Dollar Tree store compared to Norway

This is a very real condition, I know because I suffer from it. My ex-girlfriend didn't mind, she said I was always very enthusiastic and wouldn't take no for an answer! It's also why I don't let my dog sleep on the bed with me anymore...

FTFY

Oh, no, wait, I forgot the "follow her into the elevator" and "after she was on a panel decrying sexism and misogyny."

Let's try again:

"4b - Don't lurk near a woman who on a panel decrying sexism and misogyny until 4am, then follow her into an elevator to ask her to come to your room."

That's at least a little closer.

bagumpity: I'm confused- by now shouldn't someone have asked "What if a woman AND a man both drank so much they were legally incapable of consenting to sex, but they did the nasty anyway, and both regretted it afterward. Could they both be charged with rape?"

No. Only the man can be charged. You see, the douchbags in charge have written the laws in such a way that guarantees that only a man can be charged. I think that there are some changes in the laws happening but when the legal definition in the law states some garbage such as rape is the inserting of the peener in the yahoo and that is it, you're stuck. Until it says that rape is the forcing of somebody to have sex against his or her will,, only men will (and transgendered women with peeners surgically attached) will be charged.
