Happy to see the Pembroke Corgis getting a few slides and Ein being the thread opener.

Here is my pem Corgi 5 years ago on the "Ottoman of Shame". He was too small and his legs too stubby to jump down, so he would become depressed.

Corgis ended up being my personal favorite breed.

(p.s. he out grew the ottoman of shame quite fast hehe)

blakeosage: National Puppy Day? Really, America? Really?!

I see nothing wrong with having a National Puppy Day. I'm in favor of it, in fact.

National Hit Your Wife Day, National Hit On Preteen Girls Day and National Show Up Drunk at Work Day are less likely, and more outrage-worthy, potential holidays. Of course, for some people those days are every day..

Small problem with the caption of #44: "Actress Eva Longoria poses for the media with a puppy outside the pet department at the opening of the Harrods January Sale at the Knightsbridge depatrment store."

She is most assuredly holding TWO dogs. That just strikes me as odd that they'd have missed such a thing. Oh, well, she's hot.

Puppies are indeed nature's antidepressant. They should get more than one day. Sharks get a whole week and they aren't nearly as cute.

Not sure you know your herding dogs.

Can you outrun a sheep?

Or is that too personal a question?

I've never tried, might be fun. :) I just thought with their tiny stubby legs I might I have a chance?

She earned the nickname "Hellspawn" quickly.

My own pup, now almost 8 months

Joey's Ears (new window)

His ears still do that. And even at that young age, he figured out on his own to chase raccoons away and with only some prompting, to also chase off other cats that come around here bothering our cats

2012-03-24 02:44:05 AM

UtileDysfunktion: They were talking about those on the radio the other day. If you buy one, when it arrives it's already 15 weeks old and past the point of bonding with a human. They (the people that bred them) recommend keeping it in a cage.

/sad

Oh, well that rather ruins the whole idea of having a fox-pal that curls up at the foot of the bed and comes out for a walk with you.
I guess I'll have to go back to plan B - own many cats and cultivate weird facial hair.

/not a dog person
//puppies are cute

I am a dog person and I love the above cuteness, rescue dogs FTW. My current mutt Emma is nick named "Destructor"...as a puppy she destroyed anything she could get a tooth into. Thankfully not the furniture.

Sorry to hear that. You might want to mention that in the Caturday thread. You'll get a lot of positive vibes, if you need them.
