I recall hearing years ago about a sniper-locating system that was developed for the military, that essentially triangulates the origin of echoes with a series of networked microphone and processor emplacements. I wonder if they could do something like that here.

Are there any caves or mines in the area?

Houghton/Hancock reportedly had microquakes and loud booms from the deep shaft copper mines running through the hillside. They attributed it to massive amounts of air shifting through temperature zones (they hollowed out the hillside in some places). Since the mines have filled with water now, no more booms

similar has been installed in lots of cities for LEO purposes. you don't have to
Google real hard to find a manufacturer/installer site or two. their system identifies location, rough idea of what the sound was (gunshot different than pipebomb etcetera) and reports it in a flash.

It's most likely hydrological or geological. The town sits in a the spine of a failed rift structure that never tore open. The booms are probably deep underground pieces of this formation collapsing in caves formed by many years of water flowing thru it. Water levels have been dropping in aquifers in the Great Lakes region for decades now.

You'd think the closest geological seismic recorder would have alerted them right away. Then again, 1.5 is pretty insignificant, relatively speaking. I wonder if it was just a question of someone saying "oh, yeah...I recall we had a minor event on the recorder last week, now that you mention it..."

I like how nearly everyone in the interview is skeptical that it was an earthquake, especially given how it occurred 3 nights in a row and over long periods of time. Is that how earthquakes normally work? Is this a special situation? Maybe it's aliens. It's aliens, isn't it?

I both rue and lament this thread. I grew up in Manawa, a small town 12 miles south of Clintonville. About 3.5 years ago this happened in Manawa, and for something like 5 months. Some were very loud, others weren't, I recall a handful that woke me up, as well as my neighbors. We thought one had been an accident near our houses. We had sound logged through a DVR system and could find no source, the sound was just everywhere. But nobody cared and it never made it this far.

Bottom line is, it stopped. Nobody remembers it except for my family and people around us.

I'm not saying its Aliens - I'm saying its Alien technology acquired in exchange for the military to grow human tissue in huge vats for Alien consumption. Why do you think locally made Pabst Blue Ribbon is so cheap?? They have to get rid of the waste somehow!

Its HAARP! (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program) HAARP BOILS THE UPPER ATMOSPHERE! That causes the sound.

HAARP zaps the upper atmosphere with a focused and steerable electromagnetic beam. Listen for its characteristic booming sound of ionosp+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++CARRIER LOST

This is the proof that the government is building huge underground bunkers to save the select from the hugh asteroid that the aliens pushed in to a collision course with earth to stop the deep that we've been beaming out into the universe.
