Surprised I didn't see a link to an etsy page. Some people would pay a lot for that kinda stuff. I went on there looking to commission a pair of life-sized Hobbes dolls for my little son but never got past a price negotiation.

The wife saw those on another site awhile ago and has considered trying something like that. She just finished this Tardis though, and was considering doing a dalek too.

If anyone wants one, I can crochet any doll. I can do the smaller drs for about $15 depending on what you want and the quality of yarn you'd like. PM me at emmaandnate.etsy.com for a custom request. Tell me what you want and I can price it out for you. It would give me an excuse to get even more excited about next season!

The doctor (sorry, Doctor) who was played by the evil military guy in 28 Days Later freaked me out. Also, hot British black chicks!!!

I was surprised too, and I'm not gonna lie, kinda disappointed that mine didn't make the article (dammit mine are cute too). My best thought on why none of them linked to a site was that maybe there's something hinky about copyright and sale and stuff that they didn't wanna touch so they only used ones that are for display only ... something something advertising something infringement something i dunno IANAL. Anyway mine are here if anyone wants to see. Also I'll post a pic because I feel like AWing.

We do, on commission ^_^ We've done Harry, Ron, and Snape so far but are open to others. Just drop us a note through the shop and we'll do what we can to accomodate.

My kid (a hardcore Whovian) will love this.

My wife, equally rabid, got this for her last birthday.

It is threads like these that make feel good about my 40th birthday party with a 'Doctor Who' theme:

- little trash can for beer caps was decorated with a flashlight, plunger, egg whisk and styrofoam half-balls to be a Dalek

- compiled my own Doctor Who costume that really balanced the regal and the outlandish (ok: double-gold button dark green late 1700's style long coat (actually a replica of what one of my ancestors wore in the American Revolutionary war, panama straw fedora, white piratey shirt, purple paisley suit vest and a dark black and red paisley cravat)

- wife did an amazing 'Weeping Angel' costume complete with wings.

- son was one of the cat people

- daughter went around with her ID introducing herself as 'Harriet Jones, MP, Flydale North'

- daughter made and painted up a K-9 from a girl guide cookies case

- various friends and family deigned to dress up as well: had a Time Lord and Time Lady, various Tom Baker scarfs, a 'Farmer' character that I only vaguely recall, a Brigadier, etc.

- gifts included a sonic screwdriver and a DVD of the Patrick Troughton episode where we first meet the Cybermen.

None of the women dressed up as Tegan, Lila or Nyssa, but you can't have everything can you?

/yeah, kinda a fan
