So . . uh . . . do Les Alouettes have a centre?

I guess you could say that the trade has been aborted.
And abortion is a sin in the eyes of God.
So Tebow is going to Hell.

I want to see him in Chicago, locked in a duel with Cutler for the starting job. IAmRight would spontaneously combust.

2012-03-21 08:12:44 PM
I still think he has a chance to compete for the starting position in Denver. Hell, we don't even now if Peyton will be medically capable of taking a single snap.

2012-03-21 08:13:18 PM
I was kind of hoping to see him in Green Bay just so he may fix his throwing motion, if he just fixed that he would be great and they have fixed average QBs before.

You are apparently underestimating just how much Elway wants him gone.

Or how much Elway (hallowed be thy name) knows about being an old, beat to shiat QB who wants to keep playing. He knows more than Farve, that's for sure.

Yeah and it's not like Elway knows how to squeeze a few championships out of an old beaten-down body.

Tim Tebow is being allowed to pick the team he wants to go to. He picks the trade. Jets or Jacksonville.

I'm a diehard Eagles fan. I just love messing with my friends. But lets be honest, a left handed backup would cause less confusion on the O-line if/when Vick needs to come out mid-game

He's an idiot if he takes anyone over Jacksonville. I don't care if he's got a chance to play for the Jets, the Packers, the Patriots, or Manchester United as a striker, he will be revered as a savior in Jacksonville.

Sorry, Bunny.

I could see them bringing Tebow in to play fullback, that's about it. Philly's O-line played a lot better last year, but I just don't possibly see how he'd fit into their system.

That's the part that doesn't make any sense to me. Tebow has less than a season under his belt, and you trade him away because you picked up a 36 year old that may never take a snap?

Oh I wasn't suggesting Tebow seriously. I was just suggesting an actual left handed QB although aside from Vick or Tebow, I can't think of another lefty....

See world! This is what it is like living in the media sphere of the Tebow. It's like hanging out with a pack of lesbians. Some biatch is screaming, some biatch is bawling, and some biatch just got knocked the fark out.

There's two points you need to understand:

1) it's Denver. If the QB isn't the second coming of Elway he gets run out of town no matter what. The fans here have a surprisingly huge say over the franchise for an NFL team. (look at the Josh McPunkass curfluffle and how quick he had to pack his bags, Cutler being a biatch, Griese, Plummer, etc...)
2) Tebow has his own legion of die-hards that only care about Tebow.

Mix 1&2 together and you're screwed. Get rid of Tebow (last vestige of McD), bring in Manning and you have an extremely happy fanbase.

God that was a great season...I miss him. Jeff was a good fit in Philly. I was glad he got a shot to start on another team after that. He deserved it after what TO did to him in San Fran.

if it is tebow's choice, there is about a 10000000000% chance he picks jacksonville over new york jets.

Tebow couldn't complete the trade earlier in the day, but in the last minute he was successful.

Since Manning is the intend starter, they want a back up who at looks like they have a chance running the system that get Manning. Having to back to option based offensive system mid season, is something that Fox probably doesn't want to have to again.

If the Jets were unwilling to pay the $5 million, then Tebow got to choose. The Jets effectively a paid $2.5 million bribe to get the trade done.

That would be awesome because we wouldn't have to worry about any little Tebows running around with wonky throwing motions in the future.

/ kidding, I actually don't care one way or the other about Tebow

Yeah, I bet Elway jumped at that offer. I think elway is kind of scuzzy for the way he treated him while he was there but he has one of the best QBs ever(if he can still be effective), he got two draft picks for a guy not expected to play, did we mention denver was $20 million under the salary cap still???? Oh sorry, $22.5 million under..........

The jets are suckers for doing this deal, what do they really have to gain from this deal?

so Tebow went 1 for 2 for 1624 miles today... sounds about on par.

The Jets believe that Tebow can help bring some unity to the locker room.

Translation - instead of hating each other, our players will all band together to hate Tebow.

So there's that. And jersey sales. Tebow fans buy lots of jerseys.
