I'll bet the list of things he can't "figure out" is long and varied...

"So, was this 'rape' or rape-rape?"

"I used a married woman, the idea being that as a woman or a couple, whether they be married or unmarried at the time, would want to find out if the pregnancy occurred as the product of the rape, or whether the pregnancy was unknown at the time," Winder told The Associated Press. "There was never any intention on my part to question the honesty of a woman in cases of rape."

So a woman who accidentally gets pregnant by her husband can go out and intentionally get raped so she abort the unwanted child?

Just rape. It has to be a black man with a white woman in a dark alley after Church to be rape-rape. Plus there has to be a conviction and proof that the woman was of good moral standing. Anything else is just rape (in other words, fake).

What about Grape-rape?

(Link is safe for work, but use caution if you don't want to explain it)

I had a crazy idea just a second ago - maybe if it didn't matter to the law why a woman wanted to terminate a pregnancy, lawmakers wouldn't have to worry about women "lying to get an abortion." Just a thought.

...not to mention, I'm pretty sure we agreed a while ago that if you really believe a zygote is a "person," then there's really no reason to allow abortions even in the case of rape or incest. So...yeah.

It's like someone blew the Abortion whistle a few months ago. Every two days there's a new anti-abortion law. The hell.

What I don't get is why anyone was talking about rape/incest in the first place. As if carving an exception out for rape/incest victims would make politicians mandating unnecessary medical procedures any better.

"I hope that he did not mean to say that some people use rape as an excuse to receive abortion care."

/oh I'm sure no one has ever used that ever, ever
/I wonder how many people that claim rape actually follow thru with charges
/totally guessing, but saying it don't happen is being naive

Once again, the party that fought health care reform by demagoguing the idea that the government will get between you and your doctor, now demands that government gets between you and your doctor.

These people are really going a long way to defend Limbaugh.

As the ex-brother-in-law of a woman who admitted six years after the fact that her pregnancy had been caused by consensual sex rather than rape, I can sort of see his point. I bet she was not the first guilt ridden female to postpone her pain by lying to her family and herself. And I bet she won't be the last.

A "rape" claim is always accompanied by a "rape" criminal charge, right?

I mean, filing criminal charges is proof of rape, so the claim must be believable!

ARE the potential "recipients" of the procedure filing charges?

Because it's not enough to keep farking that chicken the same way every single time. Sometimes, for the sake of variety, you need to try other positions.

And until it stops being apropos...

TFA: Winder said Tuesday he never meant to question victims' truthfulness.

Rather, Winder said he meant to say he hoped a woman would work with her physician to determine if a fetus resulted from a rape or was, in fact, a result of consensual relations that occurred outside of the attack.

Right. Because how would a woman ever know she'd been raped unless she had a strong, capable man sit her down and explain it to her?

Trying to figure that out on her own would just put too much strain on her pretty little head. Thinking is men's work.

The solution is obvious. Put any woman who claims to be raped on trial. If she is proven innocent, then she can have an abortion, provided she has not passed a certain point in the pregnancy.

When I was in high school back in the 70's, our senior class raised some money by selling posters with a beautiful nature scene and the caption, "Idaho is what America was."

The sentiment was accurate, if not in precisely the way it was intended.

Like on "Too Close For Comfort"?

Monroe is the victim of sexual assault, when two women (a short, plump blonde and a tall, husky brunette) kidnap and blindfold Monroe while he is about return home from his security guard job at the mall, take him to their apartment and have their way with him the entire night. Henry is appalled at the situation, especially when Muriel, Jackie and Sara doubt that Monroe's story will not be taken seriously by the police, given the highly unusual nature of the crime as the sexual assault happened to a man. When the police officer tells Monroe that it would be best not to pursue charges, in order to avoid any unwanted media attention that could result from a trial, Monroe ponders whether to drop the case, but Henry convinces Monroe not to give up and decides to team up with Monroe to track down his assailants and bring them to justice.

They would have stopped, except the libs mentioned that the holes might have something to do with the rowboat sinking, and if the libs want them to stop, there's only one course of action: drill twice as fast.

How the fark could a doctor prove or disprove whether a pregnancy was the result of rape or consensual sex?

The legislation being discussed doesn't actually make abortions illegal, it just forces women who want one to get a wandjob first... So here is how I see the doctor/patient discussion going if this becomes law:

Woman: One abortion please.
Doctor: Is this a rape baby or a normal baby?
Woman: ...if I say "normal baby" are you going to rape me with that stick?
Doctor: Yes i'm legally required to do that unless it's a rape baby.
Woman: Oh it's for sure a rape baby then.
Doctor: Alrighty, one abortion coming right up!

That certainly invalidates all rape.

Is there any real political difference between eastern Washington and Idaho? Or most of the rest of Washington (once you get 50 miles or so outside of Seattle), for that matter?
