For some inexplicable reason I want to shove my face between two showings of The Hunger Games.

No, seriously, man, they keep talking about us here, but I don't hink that they actually MEAN us.

Yeah, I get confused by it, too.

Okay, so, out of everyone pictured in this article, I only knew Bridget Moynahan and Stanley Tucci, and I couldn't have actually named either of them.

How heavy is the rock I live under? It seems heavy.

She is on the cover of every magazine at the grocery store.

I wonder how much the studio had to pay for her to be on all the magazine covers?

Pretty heavy. Jennifer Lawrence was in Winter's Bone, and nominated for an Oscar for it.

Irina Shayk was a Bond girl and SI swimsuit model.

Liam Hemsworth's brother is Thor, although that one's a bit less direct, I admit.

My god, I have no farking life, do I?

The HBO series with the huge dude from Startgate Atlantis?

She has knees?

I'm with the rock-guy above - I don't recognize most of these ladies. I don't find them that appealing, anyway. They mostly look kind of scrawny and dried up.

No...the Oscar nominated movie. I'm sorry, I thought that would have been obvious from my having said she was nominated for an Oscar for the movie.

After having read the book, I'm having trouble picturing him in the role he was cast in. He looks more like someone who should be skipping through the shire, rather than locked in an arena and forced to kill children.

Given the buzz surrounding this movie, I'd imagine every periodical in existence wants to be connected to it. I'd imagine even Bowhunter magazine begged for a cover with Jennifer Lawrence.

Can someone please explain what is so 'OMG HUGE' about this movie?

It looks a little contrived to me... but then again, I'm a 30 year old male.

Um, if you read the book, you know that's kinda the whole idea. His character is a baker's son and he's pretty damn useless in the arena. The names are chosen randomly. Only the rich districts have volunteers who train for the arena.

Jennifer Lawrence's rack was pretty nice in X-Men: First Class, especially when wearing only blue paint.

You know how I know I'm gay?

I read the headline and got more excited about the prospect of $10 movies somewhere than the promise of said "assets".

(NYC, where it's $14.50 + a 30 minute line to guarantee good seats)

See, the joke was that I was intentionally mistaking "Game of Thrones" for something called "Winter of Boning", which seems like the same thing.

sure haven't: Can someone please explain what is so 'OMG HUGE' about this movie?

Well, it was a best selling book that transcended the YA market it was intended, for some reason. They came on the heels of the Twilight books and as a stand alone series the writing is still YA material. But when compared to the writing skill of Stephanie Meyer, Collins looks like farking Hemmingway.

First off, the hero of the story is a strong woman and not a stalking victim tracked by a creepy 200 yr old sparkly vampire...so it has that going for it. The casting was pretty spot on, even though Lawrence is 5 years older than the main character she can still pull off the 16 year old look, for now. It appears that the other casting was prety well done, but time will tell. On the bright side, this movie tracking as a better opening weekend than Twilight. Other movies seem to be getting out of the way of it as well, which will only add the box office. Looking at scheduled releases, the next 'big' movie I would say is The Avengers and that is not until May 4th (and no, Wrath of the Titans does not count).

I thought the same until my wife kept pestering me to read the books. I found some parts to be a little "meh"; it was definitely written for a middle/high school audience. The whole love triangle thing wasn't really for me, but I thought the action in the arena was great.Overall, I thought it was a good read and an enjoyable series.

I agreed to go with my wife to the midnight show on Thursday night. Of course, my Bearcats are playing in their biggest game in a decade that night...dammit.

He was kind of whiny and weak willed in the book so maybe it will work.

Nope, you're definitely wrong.

...

*sigh* It's news worthy. So if you're a sports star, and I have a sports magazine and you do something, or you are signed onto a team or something, I can print your picture, make money, and not give you anything. Because it's news. This is the exact same thing, but it's entertainment news.

The next time you get the urge to utter legal opinions on the internet, just don't......

Agreed, but like Persnickety mentioned, it's fitting with the character. Peeta's survival skill was not really based on his physical prowess, but more on his ability to win the crowd over with his 'nice-guy-with-a-heart-of-gold' personality.

The books were quite good (as far as young adult fiction goes), and concentrated much more on the fast-paced plot line than the romance. The adult issues its characters dealt with (family loyalty, gov't. oppression, being under constant surveillance, post traumatic stress) were a far cry from from Twilight's "do I take the werewolf or the sparkly guy to the prom?" pablum.

/looking forward to the movie

Strike a pose: Isabelle Fuhrman (L) and Irina Shayk both opted for a simple colour palette when choosing their outfits

Is it just me or do both of them have huge heads?

I've got something huge for both of them, if ya know what I mean, and I think you do.

It really doesn't take much to pull off that look. Any low cut top will induce a similar reaction from any males in your vicinity. Add a push-up and you'll increase the effect.

Best of luck!

Back in grad school I had a propaganda professor who came up with what he called the Theory of the Grotesque. Basically it stated that the talking heads you see on TV are famous because their heads are larger than average. The more famous, the more grotesquely large their head.

So yes, huge heads.

I feel like she looks different in every photo I've seen of her over the past year, at least to me. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, she's hot, it's jut odd.

Let me get this straight - She's a woman. Not only that, she's a woman who is an actress. Not only that, she's a woman who is an actress that has breasts. Not only THAT, she's a woman who is an actress that has breasts that are reall nice. Not only THAT, she's a woman who is an actress that has breasts that are reall nice who has a new movie out! And she's showing her really nice breasts off at her movie premiere? Huh.

Did they take one picture of her face and then photoshop it onto all the other pictures?

Cargo: Her face just looks kind of weird in these pictures; like she's a little overwhelmed or something.

Also, she looks better with less make up, IMHO (as do most women, frankly).

Just think that this . . .

[0.tqn.com image 482x650]

. . . is not nearly as pretty as this . . .

The photos they chose to publish make her look uncomfortable on the red carpet.

Did anybody see her on Letterman last night? No amount of jiggling during her entrance could make up for how horrible that interview was.
