Romney will be the Republican nominee and come election day, I will hold my nose and vote for him. Anything has to be better than the empty suit we have in office now.

3/10

Almost believable, but it fails without the "Nobama 2012" tagline.

So Grover Norquist outright stating that Romney will be even mroe of an empty suit, and a rubber stamp as well, a guy with considerable influence in and on his party, these statements don't concern you as well?

Also you've been on tirades multiple times about how "0bama" is ramming his authoritarian agenda down our throats, blah blah blah. Which is it? Empty suit or jackbooted tyrant?

Moron.

Elandriel: Empty suit or jackbooted tyrant?

It's Wednesday, so I think that makes him an empty suit. you have to consult your chart.

I, too, hate the empty-suit feckless ditherer who is radically transforming America with his atheist Muslim ways.

I cannot wait for the consistently conservative, steadfast-in-his-convictions Presidency of Mr. Romney whose record clearly shows him to be a man of the people; who will stand up against outsourcing, abortion, and government health care.

2012-03-21 09:41:18 AM
Bummer,
I was hoping this would have gone to a brokered convention to watch the loonies come up with a Palin/Limbaugh ticket.

The hardest part would have been convincing Limbaugh to play second fiddle to a woman.

Honestly... I couldn't care less which plutocratic asshole the knuckle-draggers in the GOP offer up as their sacrificial lamb this year. I have no intention of voting for anyone with an (R) after their name for the foreseeable future, anyway.

As long as they continue to cheer for religious fascism and for "fark the Poor" economic policies, I want nothing to do with the Republican Party or anyone who associates themselves with it.

This is what I don't get. I understand not liking the man's politics. I understand not liking the health care bill, or the increasing deficit, or being fearful that he's gonna take your guns. I can even understand hating him cause he's black (not that I'm accusing you of that, lest you yell about the liberal race card, but I can at least wrap my head around it).

I don't understand calling him ineffective or an empty suit. The man has accomplished quite a bit in three years, from killing terrorists to saving the auto industry to getting us out of one middle east quagmire to not getting us involved in another one (yet...), to overseeing a rebounding economy.

Hating on Obama for being an empty suit is a little like hating on Kobe Bryant for being crappy at basketball. Dislike the person all you want, but you can't really deny that they have game.

I think he's like my friend who believes that Obama was just pulled into the room during the bin Ladin killing for a quick photo-op after the fact since the operation was a success. if it fail, my friend claims that Obama would have been none the wiser that it ever happened.

Well I mean, it's obvious that comprehension isn't his strong suit, so I can't say I'm really surprised. Also in the grand scheme of things, as far as troll pecking order goes I imagine him to be somewhere near the bottom. He's the lamprey of trolls. Possibly a ringworm. I've heard it both ways.

I knew that the GOP primary season was going to be 'good', but I had no idea it'd be this awesome. A never ending stream of herpa-derp and pandering to the rural inbreds who're terrified of the interwebs and mooslims.

They all get 'insane', it gets taped and repeated endlessly on youtube and new sites and the winner gets to try and limp back to the middle where President Obama is waiting with a Loony-Toons style hammer.

I knew they were simply throwing a sacrificial lamb out there for Obama to murder, but I had no idea they were going to beat and rape that lamb first.

If there's an empty suit, it's MittBot. My gods, he's actually somehow worse than your average politician with the pandering, the ur-flip-flopping and the hilarious out of touch stuff he says. He's pretty much proven he has zero qualms about doing and saying anything to get into office.

I just don't suppose I get the idiots on the right and their "Obama is an empty suit" B.S. He takes stands on stuff and instead of being a loudmouth belligerent moron, he tends to stay quiet and lead from behind, which is pretty much what this country needs both here and abroad right now.

Santorum, on the other hand, is a full suit. A suit full of you-know-what.

That's not going to happen this time around. You can thank Para Salin for that.

She spent months telling the news sites that the GOP lost because they weren't conservative enough. She all but blamed McCain for the loss and insinuated that if she'd been at the top of the ticket, they'd have easily beaten Obama.

The Tea Derpers won't settle for a VP spot this time around. They want the head of the ticket to go to one of their darlings. Preferably Santorum. Oh, they'd murder their own mothers to get Sarah Palin on the ticket, but that's not going to happen, so they'll take Santorum instead.

They're convinced that the path to the White House requires a whargarbler at the head of the ticket and they're not going to be placated by a VP slot this time around.

Expect to see Mr. Christie as the VP candidate. That's my prediction.

Also, expect to see the Tea Derpers go Third Party with Sarah Palin and Santorum.

I can't blame them for leaving. All they can really do is yell that Obama is bad (without proof) and that must get tiring after awhile, especially when they get refuted in every thread. And Fark isn't even that liberal; it's pretty centrist overall. If they could at least point to an alternative, whether it's a person or a policy, and argue its merits then I think it would be easier to be a republican (not a conservative, as true conservatives are not really represented by the GOP anymore) on Fark.

But they can't. The people are jokes and the policies are worse. Rick Santorum wants to set women and sex back 60 years, Mitt Romney's tax proposal was lambasted by pretty much everyone, Ron Paul wants to get rid of money, and Newt Gingrich wants to build a moon base.

Being a fiscal conservative and social I-don't-give-a-damn-what-you-do-in-your-private-life in today's GOP is like being a Capitals fan in the playoffs. Your team (Gary Johnson) gets knocked out early and the other options are truly awful.

They're being damned by Reagan's compromise in the 80s that brought in the Moral Majority wingnuts. People like that aren't complacent with compromising with the opposition. The opposition must be defeated and that sort of extremist thinking drives out moderates who want to see a working government. The fewer moderates around, the more influence the extremists have, until that's all you have left.

That's where we are now. The extremist Tea Derpers and those Establishment GOPers who are too invested in the party to walk away. I'd feel bad for them if they weren't Republicans.

Perhaps.

Or they could be mentally broken attention whoring assholes.

Just look how they do the same act every day in every thread and get debunked every time on the same arguments only to repeat them word for word in the next thread as if nothing happened. Some of them have been doing it for years on the same or alternative accounts, and some of those accounts they actually pay real money towards to have constant TF in order to act stupid right off the bat. And there's a chance that their real life stances are the exact opposite of what they spew here which means they are essentially damaging their own arguments and stances.

Even if characters like internet dentist, animal color or ged in law for example are just acts and intentional trolls for giggles, the fact that someone would do it this long with multiple accounts still shows that they are not stable upstairs. There are plenty of stupid people out there, so there is no reason to intentionally act just as stupid as them.
