FTFA: The comic actor will costar and have a producer's credit on writer-producer Bryan Fuller's dramatic revamp of the campy classic sitcom, which is now titled Mockingbird Lane. Izzard, who's been circling the role for weeks, will play the ancient vampire and shape-shifter Grandpa in the show. Bryan Singer will direct.

Could be interesting. Have faith, subby! Izzard rules!

Considering the facts that the show has been renamed to "Mockingbird Lane" and is a complete reimagining of the original series, Eddie Izzard will probably do just fine.

They're move pretty much away from the goofy 60s version of "The Munsters" to a darker, more dramatic show. If they had stayed with the 60s version, I would have been appalled at Eddie Izzard joining the cast, but now, not so much.

I'm going to remake "To Kill A mockingbird", as a TV series, but Boo Radley is a guy who likes indie rock and is a barista and lives in an awesome apartment over his parent's garage. Scout and Finch are two kids who have a podcast about ghost hunting and find bigfoot in the woods after Boo helps them track him. Also, Tom Robinson is a white guy who runs the local record store, and there is no court case because we are in post-racial America now right?. But I'm still going to call it To Kill A Mockingbird.

This. Mandy Patinkin is notorious for bailing on successful shows, most famously Chicago Hope and Criminal Minds.

I'd rather have two quality seasons than five seasons of dreck.
