nopokerface: T.rex: Bobby Knight isn't on hand for shrewd technical commentary.

That's a shame, he might be good at that.

In his head, yes, he has the knowledge but (to me) he doesn't have the television personality to convey it the viewers.

USCLaw2010: king_nacho: urbangirl: I moved here for a job a couple of years ago. Trust me, you have no idea what it's like. The farking UNIVERSE revolves around UK basketball. It's downright embarassing to someone who's actually lived in the real world,

A big part of that is because the money in this town revolves around UK basketball, and in part college athletics in general. Lexington is a college town, just like any other college town, much of the city moral comes from the college.

If it weren't for UK there wouldn't be much of anything else here.

A huge auto manufacturing factory and many of its suppliers?

Which is only about 20 years old, and about an hour away from Lexington. Also, if UK were here, the cities of Lexington and Georgetown wouldn't have been as big, and Toyota wouldn't have put in a plant here.

Purdue_Pete: Just remember Kentucky fans, even if you win the championship this year, you'll be forfeiting it in a few years due to an investigation into cheating. Enjoy the good times...

How many years, exactly? Since you seem so confident to commit to a rock solid timeline of "a few years" you must have some info that will rock college basketball and break the hearts of UK fans everywhere.

BTW, enjoy your free time, I expect you'll be convicted as a pedophile... eventually.

PluckYew: Smoky Dragon Dish: wildcat2011: Smoky Dragon Dish:

But, when Miles Brand says Bobby Knight's behavior doesn't represent Indiana University's values, and then IU hires Sampson a couple of years later, that is what I am saying.

I may be misremembering but I thought Miles Brand was head of the NCAA when Kelvin Sampson was hired at IU.

No, you're not. Dr. Brand by then moved on to the NCAA, where he found another way to stir the pot. This is why I had said "IU hires Sampson." Sorry I wasn't clear. Wasn't an indictment against Brand per se, but the IU administrators, who once included him. But, it was Brand who set it all in motion.

Who has more wins, Knight or subtard?

Fark you subby, and all Kentucky fans too.

nopokerface: Who knows, maybe the NCAA will let UK keep their championships even if they do pay their players. They let Duke keep theirs.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. Duke used their connections and power as job creators to make the system work. For them. Much like KU students end up doing.

EyeballKid: Ol' Irrelevant Bob started the season kissing Krzyzewski's face. After he wins the NCAA championship, maybe Caliparil will let Ol' Irrelevant Bob kiss his ass.

I must have missed the part where Calipari was on Knight's Naval Academy team and then was his assistant. Would explain the douchebaggery but not lack of morals.
