Hand carved. Pick up a book on chip carving, all you need is a knife, a pencil, and a compass.

very nice! I may have to get some tips from you. Been wanting to get back to it for the past 20 yrs! just never got around to it!!! paint is also too darn expensive! Also where can I airbrush them in the winter? I have no sunroom and don;t want to breath in too much paint fumes!

Made a Jimmy Buffet themed mural for a friend...

My pride and joy after 2 year in ceramics in High School. I call it Alda Calma. My inspiration were the trees in the movie Fellowship of the Ring, in Caras Galdhon. Henceforth, it's name is in Sindarin, and means "tree lamp." The canopy is really just a bowl upside down and just sits on the base of the tree. I used every "green" color of paint I could find to glaze it. I put tea light candles in the base.


And this is Horizon. It may not look like much but it took me nearly 2 months to complete. It's flat on both sides, but about 5 inches thick. It was a slab construction project.



And this is a lightning bolt keychain I made from a sheet of copper. I sanded the HELL out of this thing to make all the edges smooth. Also made in a high school art class. Has been on my keys ever since.

House was built in 1954. Little storage or cabinet space. Made this for hanging coats, a "stuff" place, and a bench to sit on.

It was supposed to hold a television, but it took so long that technologies and aspect ratios had changed by the time it was done.

ooh, I'm so going to plug my project. I made these etchings with a focused ion beam and they're roughly the width of a hair or about 10 times smaller than a grain of salt.

I'd absolutely love to know how you made the dive lights! I'm heading to the Florida Keys soon with my new dive camera, but I can't afford the $$$ for dive lights.

Okay so I didn't make this nebula, but I made the photo of it. Taken with a 16" Newtonian ASA astrograph telescope and an Apogee U16m CCD camera using the Hubble color palette filters, OIII, SII, Ha, for a false color image (the camera shoots in monochrome at 32bits) the original file is almost 100MB so scaled way down for the web and compromised by jpeg artifacts, one really needs to see this as a 4 x 4 foot print to do it justice.

Hence my name, I shoot the sky!
