After years of helping people who barely knew how to generate a 2048-bit encryption key, I should've been happy to get a client with a real problem. But when it starts with me being knocked unconscious and kidnapped, you understand if I'm grumpy. Still, a missing insane software designer is a magnet to my mental metal: I'm an Information Technology Private Investigator and I love a high-tech problem. My only worry is that unlike my usual cases, this one might just kill me.

I'm not the best information technology private investigator. There are others better than me, others more experienced, others with better stories to tell.

But I haven't met them yet.

Hand carved. Pick up a book on chip carving, all you need is a knife, a pencil, and a compass.

Built my own purple plasma ball.

Fused the borosilicate glass, flushed the sphere in a custom made oven, obtained my own research-grade gases (Xenon, Argon, Krypton) added dash of Nitrogen (mistake!) and catalyst (secrete additive to boost the electrons into a higher orbit, creating more color saturation and increasing the brightness x4). Built a HV, high-tension power-supply and modified the frequency to 50khz and an output of 15,000 volts.

Wife does not want any more in the house. Sold them off when I exceeded 20 in the lounge-room. A couple went to good homes in museums.

My custom shade stand. The dark wood is purple heart, natural color with clear coat. The light wood is steamed beech. Lots of corks and some threaded rods are the rest of the components.

As infrastructure cabling changed over the years they required velcro for dressing so not to damage the integrity of the twist. If they really wanted speed to the station should just run fiber to the user. Ever do IBM Type 1 of Type 2 cabling?
It sucked & yes I'm old.

Wheatfield Stand, Tynecastle Stadium, Edinburgh, Scotland. I put in the seats that represented the club badge. Well, I put them in, and I was told to remove them and do it again properly. I thought my original layout looked better.
