Let's Go, Bruins!!!

...No, seriously. Anytime, starting now would be great.

After back to back wins over the Preds and Wings, hopefully the switch has finally been flipped. The Sharks could jump from 9th in the West to 3rd with a win tonight.

You can call it "the final stretches for the post-season." I call it "the point in the season where my team's games are almost always utterly meaningless." How I long for the salad days of Shawn Bates and Wade Dubielewicz.

Hell, I'm just glad the Hawks have finally righted the ship after that debacle in Jan-Feb. 7-1-1 in the last 9, and a visit to CBJ coming up.

I just hope Toews gets healthy for the post-season and isn't Crosby'd for the next few months.

Dear Bruins.

Don't suck.

Sidenote: Peverly skated today.

Hmm, didn't realize the separation in the East between 8th place and dead last was only 9 points.

Anyways, now that Ottawa has proven they don't mind taking the Northeast division at least for a day, cut the sh*t, Boston. Seriously.

I'm just afraid Horton has become this year's Marc Savard.

The Sabres got really lucky last night with both WPG and WSH losing in regulation. They can tie WSH for 8th with a win over Tampa tonight. This might be a game worth going out for.

You're just gonna head down on a whim, on a Monday, to Tampa? You got frequent flier miles to burn or something?

Sabres might make some noise if they get into the playoffs. Miller always scares me.

I think the biggest thing they need is more size up front.

Yes, yes, yes. Missing Peverley is certainly not their only problem, but it will be good to have him back.

I'm waiting for the flyers and pens to start throwing games so they get to play florida in the first round instead of eachother.

Supposedly every playoff game will be on an NBC property this season, and any late season games that are of significance will bump the normal NBC Sports and game of the week schedule.

Sabres games at bars, however, are much cheaper. And about as much fun.

Good news. I felt lucky to catch the Bruins in NBCS a few times this season. It's especially depressing that I have ROOT, and The Pens are on TV all the damn time.

I have to assume first rounds will stay on local channels. There's just way too many of them going on in a given night. Second round and on I could see on NBC only.

Time to google foo this biatch and find out.

Let's go Zetterberg, Lucic, Pominville, Perry, Burrows, Phaneuf, Burns and Girardi!

according to wikipedia, as part of the new TV package:

Increased coverage of Stanley Cup Playoff games, with all playoff games airing nationally on NBC, NBC Sports Network, or if necessary, another NBC-owned network such as CNBC, MSNBC or USA (all of which have carried overflow games of Olympic ice hockey since 2002). Local sports networks can carry their teams' 1st round games, but any games on NBC, and any NBC cable games from the 2nd round onward, will be exclusive to NBC.

Yea, you will have a few cases of 2 or 3 games going at the same time in the first round, but if they schedule them right, it can be done.

Canucks need to get their shiat together. They've been playing awful hockey for the past month, and almost had the worst team in the league take them to OT at home.

All will be forgotten if they get on a hot streak at the right time, but I'm really tired of watching the level of hockey they're putting out there these days.

You mean Zack Kassian and Marc-Andre Gragnani didn't make them better?! Shocking!

Though Sulzer and Hodgson haven't done much for the Sabres either...

The Flames game last night was so depressing. About 10 good scoring chances and only able to beat Mason once.

They are going to finish 9th or 10th in the West (again), and draft 12th or so (again), and all their veteran players will be another year older next year (again).

If they had blown the team up two years ago, they could have got four or five good 20-year-old players for Iginla, Kipper and Regher. Those players would be entering their prime now. Instead they kept Darryl Sutter on as GM for six more months, stayed the course even though the team showed they couldn't compete for the Cup, and now as their core enters their mid-30s, they are going to fall of the cliff. The next five years aren't going to be pretty in Calgary. :(

If the B's could manage not to get caught by Florida, by the way, it'd be great.

cameroncrazy1984: You mean Zack Kassian and Marc-Andre Gragnani didn't make them better?! Shocking!

Kassian is doing pretty well on the 4th line, but it doesn't matter when the Sedins are in a month long nap (finally showed up the other night, but it was against the CBJ's...)

I am shocked that Hodgson is still sporting that goose egg. Thought he would hit the ice at full speed in Buffalo.

Who would have though that reserve defensive D-man Sulzer would be on the board with a goal and an assist for the Sabres, while we're still waiting for Hodgson to get a point?

Not that I especially blame Hodgson. The whole team has trouble scoring lately. I still think it's an excellent pick-up long-term for Buffalo. Hodgson's going to be a very good player in the league.

I heard on the radio that the Sabres have had only 3 practices since he joined. It's a completely different system, so that may have something to do with it.

I agree with the long-term assessment. I think once he gets that first point or goal he'll score a bunch of them very quickly.
