Funk Brothers: I think the Denver Broncos have become the Miami Heat of football. This is a dumb move and will come to haunt the Broncos for years to come.If I was Belichick, I would try to get Tebow to aggravate the Broncos, the Dolphins, and the Jets. Belichick has always seen something from Tebow and I think Belichick ought to get him. They already have a winning team and no use for a first round draft pick. Besides Brady is getting old and has a disgruntled wife that has upset several players on the team. It would reinforce Belichick as a coach you don't want to fark with. Think of Brady as Joe Montana and Tebow as Steve Young. Tebow has potential and can win a Super Bowl unlike Philip Rivers or Carson Palmer.
CavalierEternal: OH FOR F*CK SAKE, ALREADY?![i3.photobucket.com image 640x519]
IAmRight: Tim Tebow: "You're welcome! I know those 20 minutes were big for a franchise that hadn't seen something like a playoff game in over half a decade!"
IAmRight: the_innkeeper: I will take Manning and his issues over Tebow and his issues any day. Regardless of how he plays in vs out, he is a better quarterback. That's fine. But your ceiling with Manning is exactly what you got last year with Tebow. I just laugh when people think this makes the Broncos contenders. They're still going to have a struggle just to win their division.
Altitude5280: I submitted this with a headline "Tebow Bronco jerseys now 50% off." This is why it is foolish to purchase such things.
nmiguy: Tebow is gonna get traded to New England
InferiousX: It was the media hype machine that surrounded him that would garble his cock at any given chance that would make people upset.
oh_please: I've heard that the docs cleared Peyton and said he's at no greater risk of injury than any other NFL QB. I looked it up, and he's had 4 previous neck surgeries. Unless the last surgery was conducted with fairy dust and unicorn farts, he's not "all better"...Broncos are taking a big dice roll here.
meanmutton: When did the Lions sign a future Hall of Fame quarterback as a free agent
BSABSVR: "It took John Elway 12 years to get any good and 14 years to win a super bowl. You should have given Tebow a little more time. I believe with Tebow as back-up for Manning that we would win a super bowl. Who is going to back up Manning if he goes down???? Hmmmmmmm"
BSABSVR: "I wonder how long he will have to sit and learn from Tebow before they will let him play?"

meanmutton: Your ceiling with Manning would be his 2010 season where he threw for 4,700 yards and 33 touchdowns.
The_Sponge: /Only other ones I'd consider are Zorn, Kennedy, and Krieg.
redmid17: Why would you even be on BR?
redmid17: This is a poor attempt at trolling. You didn't even set the hook.
BSABSVR: "Disgusted! Not buying tickets next year for sure. Broncos have been my team since birth. I guess they just lost me cause the thought of watching them next season makes me sick. Bring on college football. ""It took John Elway 12 years to get any good and 14 years to win a super bowl. You should have given Tebow a little more time. redmid17: CavalierEternal: OH FOR F*CK SAKE, ALREADY?![i3.photobucket.com image 640x519]Why would you even be on BR?
InferiousX: Tebow is Favre coverage sans the accomplishments
you are a puppet: Not this specifically, I mean quarterbacks in general. Plummer, Cutler, Rivers, Rodgers, Tebow, whomever. How are you so invested in these guys?
ISubmittedThisYesterdayWithAMuchFunnierHeadline: I can't decide if the offensive coordinator job in Denver just got easier, or harder. No more Pop Warner playbook, at least.
GQueue: meanmutton: When did the Lions sign a future Hall of Fame quarterback as a free agentWait, Scott Mitchell isn't in the hall of fame?
oh_please: Yeah, I get that, but with all the improbable crap that happened in EVERY game he won, plus the God angle, can any of us blame the media for going nuts over it? A lot of Farkers seemed to take it way too personally.
Norv Turner: Peyton Manning?Ohhh yeaah!! I remember you![cdn.bleacherreport.net image 350x253]
Dinobot: redmid17: Dinobot: Captain Steroid: expobill: Captain Steroid: Dinobot:Supposedly.Ok, you just don't trust neurosurgeons and orthopedic specialists then. Nor do you trust the doctors and training staffs giving the team physicals to Manning. There's no way they would test his neck or do anything like that./you're a moron
IAmRight: redmid17: If you base a team's ceiling solely on results in a down year for the AFC, I'm going to assume you're not very interested any of the actual football. Your POV is incredibly oversimplistic. All I'm saying is that the Broncos with Manning won't get past the divisional round of the playoffs, weak AFC or not. So they spent a lot of money and didn't help themselves except that they get to watch a (if he's back to his pre-injury performance level) better QB lead them to a playoff loss.JohnBigBootay: I know you don't like Manning but surely you don't think the broncos would have been better off with tebow than peyton.I like Manning fine. I don't like how, after a year of not playing, everyone suddenly decided he was better than he was. He's a great indoor QB who struggles when the going gets tough. I'm glad he's going to Denver! And that's with the BEST case scenario. He hasn't played in over a year and he's coming off several neck surgeries - repaired or not, surgeries tend to mess with one's head. And I'm glad he cockteased San Francisco! If they lose out on him AND lose Alex Smith, with the Seahawks getting Matt Flynn....well, I couldn't have asked for anything more out of this offseason./let's also not forget that the Broncos were 1-4 before Tebow came in, so it's not like they were 8-8 with him.
IAmRight: Hard to tell if the first one is serious or a troll, but the second one is obviously a joke.
IAmRight: meanmutton: Your ceiling with Manning would be his 2010 season where he threw for 4,700 yards and 33 touchdowns. And put up a whole 1 in the playoffs on his way to an amazing 16-point performance. LEGEND
BSABSVR: oh_please: I've heard that the docs cleared Peyton and said he's at no greater risk of injury than any other NFL QB. I looked it up, and he's had 4 previous neck surgeries. Unless the last surgery was conducted with fairy dust and unicorn farts, he's not "all better"...Broncos are taking a big dice roll here. It's always a dice roll when you bring in an older free agent. It would be just as big a dice roll with Tebow. Can he learn a better throwing motion? Now that defenses seem to have figured out that if you cover the primary receiver and keep the pass rush in front of Tebow, you can get him to hold the ball forever, can he even be remotely effective? The bigger picture is that this tells players that Denver is willing to spend money again if they think that it will help. One of the issues that came up during the McDaniels era and even after the Fox hire was grumbling that Denver was trying to do everything on the cheap.
Coach_J: My God, there really is no limit to the amount of ridiculous BS you won't pull out of your ass...neck injuries, ignoring actual on-the-field statistical performance, "surgeries tend to mess with one's head"...
Coach_J: I love Internet know-it-all's like you...in a sports bar, discussing sports, you wouldn't make a peep b/c you know you'd be laughed out the room.
redmid17: That loss was not on Manning.
AnotherBluesStringer: Honest Bender: I thought the whole point of having a Sports tab was so that the rest of us didn't have to see this crap. And yet you still took the time to comment. Also, anybody else surprised he didn't go with the 49ers?
BSABSVR: technically this is still Tebow's rookie year,
Fleet: B... b... b... b... but... but... but... Tennessee is Peyton's HOME!!!! Why doesn't he come HOME?!?!?!/If he had come here I would've hung up my Titans hat
Goimir: Tebow peaked, yes. You can only get by so long on gimmicks and craftiness. Once the other teams pick up on his shenanigans he'll be where he belongs, as a special teams coach for a college program.
