I thought the season ended well, I am excited to see Michonne and the prison. Just wish Lori and Carl would die, I hate both of them. The kid is an awful actor, and Lori is a biatch.

Love the show, hated the finale. Most of the characters started acting retarded out of nowhere in the finale. Outside of Herschel using the Konami code, there's no way these characters would have survived this long based on the wits they displayed last night. Oh, and somebody needs to put Carl down, seriously.

Is it the best show going in the genre? Yes

I'm watching zombie crap when it's made, and most of it is crap now. High school prom zombies and the like. It's horrible but as a fan of the genre I give it a shot. So with that in mind I enjoy the shiat out of the show because while it may not be the best show on tv right now, it's the best zombie thing going.

Considering their crappy ass budget, I wonder how prominent the walkers chained to Michonne will be. Kinda hard to consistently show a character with two dudes chained to her that are armless and presumably jawless as well, amirite?

I punched out during the forest search at the beginning of season 2 (episode 3?). I hated all of the characters except for the hillbilly dude with the crossbow. I think I convinced myself the show was better than it was because I really liked the comic and it had the awesome Black Jauer(Lennie James) in the first few episodes.

Bringing in Michonne could be interesting but I have no faith in their ability to make her as bad ass as she was in the comics.

I would love to hear that the show became awesome all of a sudden, so I can get back on the bandwagon, but I'm not holding my breath.

I loved this show until this season; felt like the writing went way, way south. The finale, I thought, was one of the stronger episodes in the last run, although there's still so many stupid plot holes that it's almost painful to watch. Add to that the fact that there's not a single character I'd rather see alive than dead at this point. And I loathe, absolutely loathe, Carl.

But I loved the first season, and still harbor some hope that maybe, just maybe, that bad writers will get run over by a truck or something and some quality can return. I'm interested enough in the fact that Rick seems to have changed his moral outlook, and in the appearance of this sword-wielding cloaked person, that I'll probably give the next season a chance. But I feel like this show now like I did about 24 during around the 4th season, which is to say it's not going to take much more to get me to quit it completely.

Actually, he comes across as more of a whiney annoying biatch in the comic book.

I do like the Daryl character on the TV show, it's funny but in the comic they never have anyone really get into using a crossbow. I read a discussion on The Governor, and how a lot of fans felt it was gonna be tame b/c it's AMC, and they can't go all out like the comic did with the character (If you haven't read the comic, then we'll he's a very extreme character).

I haven't had a chance to watch the finale yet, I'll load it to my network shortly, and stream it to the Kindle fire to watch during lunch.

At least there have been some zombies in the show recently. The last season ended like this:

LORI: I"m going to be a biatch because I haven't realized how truly screwed we are.

SHANE: I'm going to act like a prick because I can't get over myself.

RICK: I'm going to be angsty about all the hard decisions I'm refusing to make.

Andrea/Dale/Glen: Let's stand around until somebody needs us for something.

Mrs Highway watches the show every week. I have been asking about Michone and wondering why she wasnt on the show yet. I am glad she has made her way out of the comic and into the show.

The Governor story line just wouldnt be the same without her.

I only saw season one. I enjoyed the show (on the second attempt) but just haven't bothered with season two.
Hope folks like the new character though, just because I don't like it that much doesn't mean it is not good.

COMIC SPOILERS IIRC, she doesn't keep them around too long, the just used them to travel with (because they have 'the smell'. Once she was with Rick & the group she didn't need them anymore & put them down. The only other time I remember seeing them is during Michonne's back story flashback.

Already they (Mazzara, mostly) is talking about taking Michonne in a different direction than in the comic. I'm OK with this. As much as I'd love to see Woodbury play out like it did in the comic, that crazy shiat would be too much for AMC, even with the gore they've been giving us all season.

However, if they can pull off the depth of sheer pain that her character has to endure, I will eat it up with a spork.

I'm just happy that T-dawg will finally have someone to talk to.

Having never read the comic, I'll have to wait till next season to see how much of a bad@ss this cloaked chick really is. As far as the finale, it was pretty good. The Talking Dead show interview afterwards was also pretty enlightening... though I don't agree with their rationalization of Lori's reaction to Rick killing Shane. IMO, Lori wanted Shane to kill Rick. She already knew that Shane thought that the kid was his. So when they had the little heart to heart, why even tell him that she didn't know who the father was? That's just more validation for Shane to think that he may be the father. Considering that Lori has rejected their past relationship as something meaningless, she then tells Shane that they shared something at the time that meant something to her. WTF Lori.

No need to bring Breaking Bad characters into this discussion. I know what happended on the show. I saw it too. However, were talking some serious BDSM themes here that I just don't think they can pull off effectively. If they do, it will be massive for Michonne's character.

I don't think I've ever actually rooted harder for people to die than Carl and Lori. His lack of intelligence and personality is completely astounding, and Lori probably has to be the worst mother in history. I think the only close contest was AVP2 when every single character I wanted to die did.

Mrs OLG mentioned that there was plenty of foreshadowing in Season 2, especially with Shane's death/redeath (reflection in the window pane during the beatdown with Rick). I do not want to think Walking Dead S2= Babylon 5 S1 (where you rewatch it to get the foreshadowing), dammit.

That said, I would not mind Michonne showing up on "Mad Men" to wrap up the series and get WD its budget back.
