I really don't give a fark about the conspiracy theories.

What gets me is that a Nazi in prison had a summerhouse. I heard of better treatment for rich people way back in the day, but for Nazi scum?

/Normally I think prison people make it too intentionally cruel, but that does not mean I want to give the worst of the worst luxuries....

TXEric: You know who was the warden (or the military term for the equivalent) of Spandau prison at that time? Ronald Spiers

Not at that time, no. Much earlier.

You know how I know you didn't read the article?

Look at the picture. The "summerhouse" is a garden shed with full-height windows along one side in the middle of the prison yard. It's called a "summerhouse" because it's intolerably cold and damp the rest of the year (like my Connecticut relatives and their "summer porch").

I didn't know Ronald Spiers was in a band before Spandau Ballet.

Can't hang himself from 5ft??? Someone needs to talk to a competent medical examiner... I've seen 2 suicides by belts - one from a door knob and one from a freezer door handle (with the victim's children's crayon drawings on the refrig door... very sad).

So how does it work? Obviously this isn't instant death via broken neck, which is what we usually think of a "hanging".

TFA said he died of asphyxiation. Do people just go limp and self-strangulate? Doesn't seem like hanging so much as letting gravity take the place of hands choking you to death.

It' a lot like when Helen Keller's younger sister died in her care. No one saw or heard a thing.

"Experts" who say you can't hang yourself from a cord attached 5 feet high are talking out their ass. There's a medical examiner in Georgia who lectures on the subject, and he said some people strangle themselves sitting down, just by leaning into the noose. It takes only a few seconds to knock yourself out from oxygen deprivation, and then you're done.

Nothing controversial about this. I have seen a video of a guy successfully hanging himself from a door handle. Just face down and let yourself go limp. You only need to string the rope from a higher place when the stringee doesn't want to die and might try to, you know, stand up.

Very true. Pressure from the cord can cut off the blood flow to the brain. The person can lose consciousness and simply slump against the cord at that point.

uh oh, they're rolling out the w2 nazis again. Does israel have a plan to pull off some bullshiat this week or something? It seems whenever they are planning something, the world gets 'reminded' of the nazis for a couple weeks prior. I guess it must make their own acts of persecution ok.

rosemary's baby daddy: fascist sympathists in an attempt for them to presure parliament into attempting peace with Germany so they could put all their resources into the war with Russia. It was never in the nazi thoughts to stop the war altogether, and Hess was instrumental in putting together the race laws as well as being an architect of the 2nd world war. He was second in command. He was no dove of peace and it was entirely sanctioned by Berlin, even if they changed their story afterwards.I didn't say the guy deserved a ticker tape parade but your argument is just horrible.-First of all, use a spellchecker. Calling someone an idiot and not knowing how to spell "pressure" is hilariously ironic.-This was 1941. Many countries including the United States had race laws on hand at the time.-The war wouldn't have ended, that's true. keep in mind that in 1941 the war hadn't escalated to the epic proportions that would justify a 40 year prison sentence for anyone involved at a high level. War has been perpetual throughout history and you can't imprison everyone who is instrumental in starting one. Actually, maybe you should but nobody else does.

Hess had already played a major role in the destruction of the Republic, an attempted coup, the murder of hundreds of political opponents and Jews, the dismemberment of Czechoslovakia, the invasion of Poland, and the planning of the war against France, the US, the Soviet Union, and other European nations.

What is he to you? A favorite uncle or something? Have you been reading Pat Buchanan?

rosemary's baby daddy: nigeman: rosemary's baby daddy: Max Awesome: He was a 93 year old Nazi. Nobody really cares if he killed himself or was murdered. It's a win-win either way.

People hate Nazis for the things that were done after this guy tried to make peace with the UK. Imprisoning him for 40+ years is a travesty of justice

You're an idiot.

He went to Scotland to talk to aristocrats who were fascist sympathists in an attempt for them to presure parliament into attempting peace with Germany so they could put all their resources into the war with Russia. It was never in the nazi thoughts to stop the war altogether, and Hess was instrumental in putting together the race laws as well as being an architect of the 2nd world war. He was second in command. No fark you. My family were murdered and had their property taken away because of laws this man wrote. So fark you you are an idiot you don't know a scrap of history. I don't know where to begin. 1941 the war was already covering most of Europe and the planning for Barbarossa had already taken place.Concentration camps had been built, this thing wasn't winding down. Seriously WTF are you saying? That the Nazis were good guys before 1941? not true. Not at all. Things got worse, but on the template that Hess wrote.

I can't deal with shiat as stupid as this. Don't pick up on spelling, look at the larger picture you farking idiot.

2012-03-18 07:24:59 PM
Oh and how many countries have to be invaded for you to say a war hadn't "escalated"?

and US race laws and Nazi race laws were a little farking different.

Seriously?

I have to explain this?
