Hey ravnostic! I hope I didn't offend you with the pic, just thought it was kinda funny and wanted to share.

Elsinore:
Looks like two ladies, one of whom is sporting a camera around her neck. It would be hard to be truly "off topic" in this forum. The community forums are typically chatty, sometimes on, sometimes off topic. In this case, the Fark Farktography forum is ostensibly primarily concerned with photos, photography, and Farktography. Since libranoelrose posted a photo, particularly one including a camera and featuring some wimmens that at least some proportion of Farkers would find attractive......well, you get the picture, eh? ;)

That's kinda what I was up to, thanks for not being upset!

11/23 "Triptych Portraits" (Three different photos of three different parts of the same subject combined into a horizontal or vertical triptych)

11/30 "Dungeons & Dragons" (Photos of anything related to dungeons, dragons, or D&D)

12/7 "Let's Go Shopping!" (Photos of store fronts, new or old, in business or not)

12/14 "Mandatory Procrastination" (Any subject, but can't be taken before 8pm Tues, Dec 13, 2011)

I'll post something about this on the Farktohraphy site later to reach as many people as possible, but since i now know about this forum.... There's a Photoshop themed contest coming up where submitters are suppose to start with a photo they took and manipulate it digitally somehow. So it's essentially a no-holds barred version of the "Software Hootenanny" contest we've done twice now. So n case any of you would like to make over-the-top HDR treatments, post-processed multiple exposures, hyper-saturated photos, etc... that would be outside the rules of normal Farktography contests, then you might want to participate in contest #6694522..(POPS) I don't know if that link works for non-TF members though. If not check the "contests" page and scroll to the ones that go live on Mon 11/7 or just look for the one titled "Photoshop one of your own photographs". :)

while that is quite true you can also add elements. yeah that's outside the normal rules too but i mean you can add lootie to a picture of your flooded front yard.

I don't remember exactly where we were--but I know it was on the Big Island, in Puna. You can see that we're near the ocean. I think it was around where Pahoa Kalapana Road meets Chain of Craters. If you really want to know, I can phone a friend. Straight out of the camera--and now I remember why I didn't post them. The best ones had too many signs of civilization for this week's topic. The lava flow wasn't very deep, as you can see by the concrete left behind, but it took out most of a housing development. People are coming back...I guess it's not likely that lava will strike twice.

Hey predle, I AM a rank amateur, and after participating in Farktography for some time, now once in a while I pull out a winner. Keep at it! Farktography itself is one of the best remediations out there.

So not true, predle--I especially liked that leafless barren tree of yours from this week :)

1/25 "Stoned"--Photos where rocky things are prominent. Anything from sand to mountains.
2/1 "Go Out and Get Some Strange"--Intimate street photography of strangers (each entry must be of a different subject). Location doesn't necessarily have to be out on a street/sidewalk, could be other public places/accommodation as well.
2/8 "Apples vs Oranges 2: The Rematch"--Show us the battles between them.
