Steve Phillips on Mad Dog Radio was even better. Whomever his co-host is started talking about the "in the vicinity" double play thing in baseball. He got Phillips to say that if he was the GM of the Mets again, and the Mets lost the World Series because a "in the vicinity" DP was suddenly called according to the rules, Phillips wouldn't have a problem with that. His co-host was beside himself, flat out called Phillips a liar.

if they were the better team, then they should have been able to win without the referee help. if you need to fix the calls, the team isn't good enough to win on their own.

Lost Thought 00: Is Texas perhaps the worst team to play in the NCAA tournament? I'm not sure they'll crack 25 points for the game. How were they let in?

I'd say Colorado State might be in the running for that title as well, after that stink bomb they laid against Murray State in the second half.

I think those of us who don't have TruTV have been lulled into a stupor by just how awful Texas is.

I'd root for the upset, but NC State sued my college to stop using the name Wolfpack because it'd create confusion in the marketplace...not that anyone's heard of us or we were using it first or anything.

the texas/ cincinnati game is getting brutal to watch. a contact lense delay, the announcers analyze contact lense search technique, now some guy sprained an ankle and the people cleaning the floor don't even wait for him to get up.
