JimmyFartpants: greenbowlpacker:[phish-bittersweetmotel.jpg]I just with there was a bit less Trey, a little more of the other guys, and it didn't make the fans look like complete morons.
rickythepenguin: Clash: Westway To the World. A bit hard to find but amazing. watching Joe talk about how he farked it up is heartbreaking. he's talking about how firing Mick was dumb. the heartbreak on his face and his voice is palpable. And also when Topper admits that even if he had the chance to do it differently, he wouldn't. he says something like, "i know drugs farked it up for me but......i would make those mistakes again, because......that's the kind of person i am." bizarre and sad but astonishing.
Crewmannumber6: I seem to remember this one being pretty good[i85.photobucket.com image 142x263]And, though it was a movie that was a comilation on live footage, thisLink (new window)
Geoff Peterson: The concert footage in SRTS is lame. it was obviously an off night(s) for them mostly Jimmy Page.

Third_Uncle_Eno: "Led Zeppelin: song remains the same" is a crock of sh*t. absolutely horrible."how the west was won" is such a better document of their 1972 tour.If the tapes existed all this time, why didn't they use those instead of the "SRTS"?
mekkab: Geoff Peterson: The concert footage in SRTS is lame. it was obviously an off night(s) for them mostly Jimmy Page.FTFM.
downstairs: They were always horrible live
rickythepenguin: 9beers: Lets Spend The Night Together needs to be on that list. The summer of 1983 was an awesome time.my uncle was at the show (sun devil stadium). about 5 years later I was there for Rattle and Hum. my first show ever. I have the ticket still. i'd post it if images weren't blocked.
Midnight Rambler: Thought maybe Bangladesh would be listed.
zez: Surprised Rolling Stone didn't pick any Rush videos
erratick: What is the judging criteria? How good the concert was? How popular the band is? How much drama?
CrackpipeCardozo: BassChild: Demetrius: List doesn't fail because it contains "Stop Making Sense".Should be number one.The Last Waltz is excellent and appropriately placed. If you've never really listened to much by The Band, I HIGHLY suggest finding a copy of this documentary./Stop Making Sense is also great

List Fails Without...
rocinante721: They had to spend $20,000 to rotoscope the coke off of Neil Young's nose from the nosedive he took before going onstage
downstairs: Geoff Peterson: downstairs: They were always horrible liveThis is not true.Ok, almost always. You'd be hard pressed to find good examples, and you'd have a very simple time finding many horrible examples.
rickythepenguin: Never like, embarassingly sloppy, but just not technically great.
Nix Nightbird: [livedesignonline.com image 500x333]/+1 to those who know the show and the year.
erratick: Agree on the PNYC.No jazzers on the list?
Lunchlady: Ahem[img.dooyoo.co.uk image 351x500]
Contrabulous Flabtraption: Lunchlady: Ahem[img.dooyoo.co.uk image 351x500]Didn't click the link but figured this must be #1. If it isn't the list is crap.
jspaceman: Even the Observer thinks so!
John Buck 41: erratick: What is the judging criteria? How good the concert was? How popular the band is? How much drama?Seeing as it's a readers' poll, probably how farking stoned you were.Til my dying day I will never understand the attraction for Talking Heads. Even for a stoner.
