thebarngodess: Are we invited for dinner?? (have a Southern Living recipe that combines pork chops, apples, apple cider and raisins - yum)

You are if you share that recipe! I admit to being a bit of a recipe hoarder, but that's because once I have my OWN freaking home and a proper kitchen (y'know, something more than a hallway with a stove and a sink in it) I intend to go full Epic Chef all up in there. Also, once I have a sweet induction stove, not some electric POS. :-\

Whoops, need more kitty pics. Have a happy Sassy.

(And OMG, the roast smells amazing. Another three hours to go. *DROOL.*)

You're most welcome - I should be outside doing yard work....but this is more fun :-)

Yet 1 More commercial threadjack! This is in current Kohl's e-ad.
Yes it is a Laurel Burch design. Yes it is 50% off currently.
When even a librarian will buy her kid a Kindle, there may just be a point. Besides not having to wait for the 200 people ahead of you on the new-book-request list to Get It Read & get outta your way!

I LOVE that pillow! I first saw one here on Caturday, then found an actual one at a local thrift store for $3. The form inside was trashed, so I found a down/feather filled pillow the same size at Ross for $8. Why yes, I am an expert at finding great deals!

JohnBuck41, tnx for the horsey tale link. Glad that one had a happy ending, unlike another headlined on pg with it. Was also saddened by tale on Care2Causes of 5 horses dying at Cheltenham horse track in UK this wk.
Speaking of UK, did we ever find out who's subby this wk, or have I been reading in my sleep with short-term-memory-fail engaged again? I do recall it was someone new to here last week ....

Still working on getting Dewey to eat. Mom syringe fed him some KMR mixed with chicken baby food this am and I got him to eat some chicken this afternoon but I had to put it in his mouth. He just has no desire to initiate eating on his own. Sigh :(

I do, and you has a reply. :)

Also, I had a test-nibble. Verdict: Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! The apples were just tart enough that they weren't too sweet, so the pork is savory with a light sweetness. Time to start the potatoes!

Cool story thanks. I am out in my zen garden after a long day at work today. I haven't sat out here in a very long time. The farm is quiet now and the horses have just finished eating their grain, they went into the shed to nibble on the hay for now. They have been spending a lot of time in the small paddock and I wonder if something is bothering them out in the bigger pasture. If it is they have not said anything to me about it. I am still on foal watch. My neighbors mare was due on the 15th and she is still pregnant. I got a strong feeling from her about a month ago that she was having a filly. My neighbor wants a colt so we are waiting to see if I am right. All week I have part of a poem running through my head... Sundays child is full of grace..... I predict that sometime tonight we will see. My poor neighbor sets his alarm and gets up every three hours and walks out to the field to check her, I think she will wait until early morning to have it, he sleeps late because he gets no sleep.

AlienDandelion: *Quietly enters, pulls herself up on her wooden apple crate*
I have returned...
Many of you will recognize me by my new Fark handle alone...
I hope it meets your approval...

I have been going through what can only be described as epic mustache and hushpuppy levels of "What is this I don't even"...
I have been travelling through every single portal of hell, been drowning in a darkness truly evil and blacker than black and devoid of everything...
Through it I lost my baby Ben Hurr in January (RIP my favorite orange ball of dissaproval), and recently had to give up my heffalump sized Gremlin to his new Kingdom as I found out
I was slowly poisoning him with my body (he was always a groomer and had been slowly ingesting the chemo and other drugs coming out of my pores).
Even though I am truly heartbroken, I take solace that he truly is currently reigning over his new big house that is full of full length mirrors in which he can fully admire his beauty, and be constantly fawned over
by his new master and two seinor cougars named Misty and Snowbell.
I am still in the midst of a current horrifying battle with the C and D.
I am still in the midst of trying to recover after being severely hacked and my complete identity stolen beginning of February, of which there is still a long way to go...
I have pretty much lost everything in a lot of ways...

...but I am slowly pulling myself out of said darkness...

I sincerely want to just shout as loud as this little body can "THANK YOU" to my favorite Caturday Family for the incredible, amazing support and help since shiat went down faster than I could shake my
tassels at.
My thanks can never truly be enough for all that you have done.
It brings tears to my eyes and I have missed you so damn much.

I am so sorry I could not stay in contact these last few months. I had no choice, due to safety for everyone, and strength.
As punishment for me, may the spankings commence.

I want to voice my condolences on the many losses many of you h ...

Belated welcome back, baby girl!

/All my love.
//Love the new handle, too.

Mondays child poem

Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go,
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

Try warming the KMR to just over room temp, and use a kitten feeding bottle to drip it into his mouth - most cats will take that if nothing else. Also, try feeding him any treats that he likes - not the most healthy thing, but at least he's eating and getting some nutrition. Paws crossed that he is stealing your dinner soon...

Man I had an awesome FAT black cat that looked like this. Dumber than a box of rocks. But a pretty boy, jet black with yellow eyes. Lived 15 years. Loved him to death, but he was a mean bastard, would attack any and everything.

Until I gave him to my mom. Then he started hanging around her other cats and actually began GROOMING them. Was the most inexplicable thing you ever saw: The Nasty Boy cleaning up fellow kittehs without gouging their eyes out.

Those other cats laid right down next to him on his deathbed, all the way up to his last breath. Then THEY groomed HIM.

That was weird, sad, and pretty cool.

It ain't often you can say that, but yeah.....

Cats are just cool in general.

On another note, is the Artist Person going to pop in and say hello this week?

sherpa, tnx for comment, sorry you've had electric & ISDP issues all day. Your captionated pic is absolutely perfetto!
I know precisely (almost typed another word that has a German derivation) what I did to get the pic I didn't want. It's not a pic I actually have, so I need not move or delete. When I tried to post the 1st try, the load-code didn't copy; I just thought it had, so was a bit alarmed when No Pic showed up. I wrote down by hand the load-code, then typed it in. Either I mis-copied or mis-typed, & got the Hispanic niece rather than Pineapples' sewing-kitty logo that I was able to send in next try.

Hope this doesn't frighten anyone, at least not too much. Besides the Celtic designs fetched in already, there's also a Celtic ferret triskel, with 3 stylized ferrets. There are 30+ pages of Scottish T designs (all designs go on Ts!).
Oh yeah, another one involving pipes is a guy in full kit, playing as a busker with a container overflowing with coins on the sidewalk before him, "Pay or I play piobachread" (or however it's spelt).

On another note, Dragon has informed me that we need to post more cat pics. So.....
