He came from a shelter, so barring cabon dating we never knew his exact age - but he was in the 16 to 17 year range, with me for 15 of those. He was a good guy.

L33t Squirrel: For reasons that I can't quite remember, we popped into the Victoria's Secret store and laughed at all of the frilly stuff. (She's too curvy for their offerings, and since I have roomies, it's awkward for me wear that stuff.) My friend remarked something about not really getting the idea behind thongs, to which I told her that they had other uses, too. "They can be really fancy eyepatches," I informed her, to which she replied with her familiar look of, "LOL WHUT" and "you AREN'T going to do what I think you're going to do." Proving her correct, I picked up a random piece of arse-floss, and arranged it in a proper eyepatch, planting my fists on my hips in a satisfied manner. "Arrr, b*tches! :D" I haven't seen her turn that red in years. Grinning like a total loon, I removed the lacy underthings and folded them before returning them to their previous location, under the amazed and shocked looks of other patrons, before one of the salespeople could ask me what the hell I was doing. I am such a fun drunk.

Years ago I was on one of those 'shopping at the wife at the mall' trips that all husbands live for. I was getting really cranky and tired (were shopping for like twenty minutes!). We popped into victoria secret and the wife held up a pair of panties and asked what I thought of them. I pulled them over my head and exclaimed "Oh Yeah! these will do just fine"

Now that I think of it, I can't remember going on any extended shopping excursions with her after that???

This is more my style...I would totally be this guy.

Your story reminds me of the time I was shopping in Debs with my husband. I went in the dressing room to try on a dress, and when I had it on, I stuck my head out to tell him to come look. He was half way across the store. He yelled back, "No, ma'am I will not come in there and make love to you!" I was so humiliated!! Never did get the dress. Men!!!

tigerose: Mega sigh. Not only does my car need a new set of front tires, but I just broke a tooth. The back half of a molar just went down the alimentary canal, along with the candy bar I was eating. I thought it was a bit too crispy. Got to call the dentist in the A.M.

captain feedback, one thing you do with .gifs to preserve the motion is never embiggen! (Save like normal, but leave in original size. ) If not, they convert automagically to .jpgs but retain the .gif suffix (natch) unless you re-save. No longer recall who told me that, but it was one of the regulars!

The only good thing about the whole ordeal... I just realized he died on the Ides of March. I believe Feldman was old enough to hear of Cesar's death in 44 BC.

He'll be getting plenty of toasts to him tonight at our local Irish bar.

Monkey2: Never posted in a Caturday thread so here's a pic of my cat stealing my water. I guess her head wouldn't fit in the glass. She has always preferred a glass to her water bowl, I think it's because the water is cold.

I've read that cats prefer "room temperature" food and water, but the first time I put ice in Tweak's water bowl (the city had shut off the water for a few hours so I set some cubes in her dish to melt) she not only drank with happy abandon, she delighted in batting the cubes around the bowl. Now I always add an ice cube or two to her water dish - she'll sit in front of her bowl and look at me expectantly if there's no ice when she's ready for refreshment.

Must be something about animals and cold water....when we had our greyhound (and greys are supposedly notoriously intolerant to cold due to their lack of body fat) he always stopped and licked the the water off of any frozen puddle that was starting to melt during our winter walks. During the Big Blackout of August 2003 I put ice in his water dish to help keep him cool, and he just lapped that stuff up with more enthusiasm than he usually exhibited when drinking.
