Ha! At least both sides are playing together.

FTFA: The first video, as Arianna puts it, "takes on the idea, often put forth by various members of the Obama camp, that every compromise, capitulation, and seeming surrender the president makes is, in fact, just a brilliant strategy that we don't yet understand."

Is this supposed to be mysterious or are they trying to imply that Obama has some other-worldly wisdom that is beyond our understanding?

I bet it involves his time machine.

Does it involve a lot of pointing and laughing?

Cos I could really enjoy that.

Obama strategy part 1: Sit back and let the Republicans put their feet in their mouth over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Obama plays the long game while Republicans lurch from strategy to strategy. Hardly a secret.

2012-03-14 12:04:08 PM
And you'll find that strategy only in HuffPost Comedy

I don't get it... it's a liberal video... but has most of the hallmarks of a conservative "comedy" piece. Oversimplification, mischaracterization, lack of subtlety, little basis in fact...

I look forward to the debate about women wearing pants, and how a law forbidding employment discrimination against women violates the religious freedom of evangelical Christians to keep all women subjugated.

The worst of Fark Photoshop entries are better than this. Seriously, a crappy cut-out of Lootie floating in an 'O' takes more skill than whoever vomited this onto a computer screen.

The 147 Republican primary debates was the core of the secret strategy, right?

This, Obama is just Bob Dole with two working arms. And as a Moderate Republican now a registered Non-Partisan, I am more than OK with that. I can see why liberals are mad at Obama, but Republicans really have no excuse.

Conservatives have no excuse. Republicans have plenty of excuses, starting with a mostly unspoken, "Because he's black."

You mean that time when job growth was occurring, unemployment was dropping, Wall Street was posting amazing returns, wars were ending, dictators were being toppled, and Osama was rotting at the bottom of the ocean?

Odd. No one but republicans seem to think those are bad things. Then again, their priorities are a little different. The rest of us like this country.

Not to mention the pros and cons about bringing back chastity belts, corsets, and perhaps a touch of footbinding. (spoiler: the Repubs are for it.)

He can back up "phase 3" with countless examples of Republicans making asses out of themselves in debate.

What can you produce to back up your assertion in phase 4?

To be fair, I'm in favor of corsets and some light bondage, too. And I'm not a Republican. Of course, maybe me not being a Republican is why I get consent from a woman before she gets tied up.

He needs to come out in his first debate and say:
"Seriously? him? Go for it. I'm the president of the US and I've got more important things to do" And then walk off
Let whoever gets through debate an empty podium for an hour.

Without reading the article i assume his plan has something to do with simply showing footage of the nominated republican over and over again and then have Morgan Freeman come out and just say "Really American, really I mean that guy, really?"

How is "flaming liberal" the opposite of "moderate Republican". That's my point right there.

Obama looks a lot like Clinton in late 90s. A centrist Democrat making deals with a stubbornly conservative House.

I wasn't even sure you had a point. Clinton in the late 90's could have been considered a moderate Republican back then as well on issues such as trade, deregulation of media ownership, military intervention, welfare reform, and deregulation of the banking industry to name but a few.

Moderate republican these days means they only want to behead gay atheists, not ALL atheists like their marginally more conservative brothers in arms.

A moderate Republican is a moderate Republican. Also, you have to realize that when a president signs a bill, it is not necessarily an endorsement. The is one of the many tricky nuances of this exciting hobby of ours.

No, I just can't believe you're this much of an idiot. Signing something into law isn't an endorsement? Please put away the paint chips.
