And centuries from now Southerners will still be proud of their history of voting for Santorum.

Aarontology: Yeah, but the GOP has absolutely nobody with the ability of General Lee.

Well, think about it: Lee's strategy was to prolong the war as long as possible so that the North would eventually get tired of fighting and negotiate some sort of peace. Santorum & Gingrich want to prolong the primary battle as long as possible so that they can influence the vote at the convention.

What Romney needs is a drunk and a guy to light Atlanta on fire.

No, no, no! This is fun! I want to see him pull out of it! It'll be interesting to see if he can keep his hands clean of this mess.

Yeah, but Lee knew when to retreat and regroup. The GOP would be saying "a fourth day of Gettysburg sounds like a great idea!"

I love that when Romney loses in November they'll tell themselves that it's because he wasn't right wing enough.

The Puritan fascists that come out in 2016 should be very entertaining indeed.

You're probably right.

For the day, Romney added at least 41 delegates and Santorum won at least 35. Newt Gingrich got at least 24 delegates and Ron Paul got at least 1

Ron Paul: "We are collecting delegate!"

I still can't believe that actually happened. Maybe Romney really is like the Eddie Izzard version of a royal family member.

"Oh what do you do? You're a plumber? What on Earth is that?"

I think all Republicans have a secret fondness for santorum. Take Larry Craig and Mark Foley, etc.

It was sort of cute to watch Romney pander. He just wants to be everything, to everyone. His heart is just that big.

You know, when they remember to wind the damn thing...

"We have the great band Kansas here with us tonight. I've never heard of them, but I'm friends with the owner of the record company. Fellas, why don't you come here and sing a song?"

How about: Kansas City, here I come, right back where I started from....

Yesterday, there was a guy either on CNN or MSNBC who was actually still managing to fit, "Well, we did lose the war, so we do always have that chip on our shoulders," into his punditry.

And they wonder why the Southerners get mocked.

/also thought it was interesting how much of the Republican vote was overwhelmingly white Evangelicals

I can't wait for this week when Romney campaigns in Illinois.

"Hey, we've got the band Chicago here today! Hey guys, how about you play some 'Sweet Home Chicago' for us?"

Everybody in attendance: [facepalm]

It actually happened, and it's actually as bad as it sounds.

The singer was visibly "WTF"-ing while reaching for the microphone. To his credit, he gave it his best shot.

Here, watch this: Link

Also, the dumbass came to Knoxville and went with Davy Crockett and not Rocky Top. I swear, he is surrounded by morons.

At least you never had to listen to it in hockey games.

Romney won more delegates yesterday.
that is all that matters.

winning a state is only significant if it is winner take all.

Why? There was never any expectation he was going to win in the south. And he still came out with of the day winning more new delegates than Santorum.

Do not get complacent Obama supporters. Santorum or Romney doesn't need 50%+1 of citizens to win in November, just a majority of the votes.

Keep that in mind as we get our lulz from this moronic display that is the GOP primary, and the continued attacks on women's rights, and now even privacy rights (why the fark should my employer know what meds I'm taking and for what! I'm looking at you Arizona).

fark the GOP.
