-- No Republican primary was being conducted at Marshall Elementary as of 9 a.m., two hours after precincts were scheduled to open.

-- The Oak Forest precinct didn't open until 7:30 a.m.

-- The Baker Elementary School precinct didn't open on time, and it was unclear if it has opened. (new window)

The 2010 census puts 69.1% of Hinds County population as "Black or African-American".

In Mississippi Romney has the lead...by 8 votes. I'd say that's too early to call as well.


My guess is Santorum will win both states, which could cause things to go all the way to the convention. If Romney somehow manages to win in both, he'll have basically won the nomination. Regardless, I think Romney will win Hawaii, as he usually does in more liberal states.
